Hi all,

What are your thoughts on the Walkley Cottage? A search through the forums gives a bit of a mixed impression of the place (is great, was great is now terrible, was never good).

I've got a friend coming into town and we're looking for a Pub to get some food in the Walkley area (I usually go to the Florist or Palm Tree for just pints). Does the Sportsman do food?

I'll give a :thumbsup: to the Cottage. It's my local so I guess I'm biased. Food's good. They have a seperate non smoking dining area. Good range of beers and wines.

Went in there just the other week, the place was inviting & whilst we didn't eat there, the menu looked good. Give it a try! I think they had a choice of ales too, which is always good!

Best fish and chips on a friday teatime

It used to be quite good, one of the best in Walkley....but not been in for a quite while now..

Only ever go there on christmas eve but for some reason can never remember how good it was :huh: Hmmm I wonder why? :P

I went the other day. Was very nice. I'll be going back.
