Any ideas for a good pub/bar or resturant cooking European food (UK, French or even Tapas).

Not from Sheffield but are staying in the city centre and going to a gig.

Want to avoid the usual chains.

The Wig and Pen on campo lane (behind the cathederal) is good for tapas or lunch. Try the chorizo, the best in town by far! and they have Budvar on tap! what more could you ask for.
Most places in town are chains, this place is deffinatly independant and v. cool.

I can recommed the Wig and Pen. Great food, location and environment.

There is also boho across the road. They have updated their menu and reduced the price slightly (phew).

Both good, but I love the W n P.
