Does anybody know anyone who has taken the plunge recently.
Me and the missus are seriously thinking about upping sticks and taking the kids in the next 5 to 10 years.
I am a qualified but inexperienced plumber, so in a couple of years I will have enough points to get in ( I think the requirement currently stands at 140), but I was wondering if anyone knew the financial costs involved.
I would be grateful for any advice:thumbsup:

It can become very costly indeed - we emigrated to Oz 2 years ago and here is a brief list of things to consider:-
visa appliation fee
solcitors fee for verifying all original documents
cost of medicals for whole family from panel doctor
cost of skills assessment
cost of shipping all furniture out
cost of airfare for yourself and family
cost of starting again - always stuff to buy that you couldn't ship - ie cars etc
