ok i think the design of this bus lane just before city road is a bit of a joke, but please can someone tell me if there are many people caught for using this lane in a morning at rush hour

me and a mate went up mansfield road last week and qued in the proper lane for cars. when the bus lane ended we needed to get back into the other lane and not one of the ******** that had used the bus lane would let us in. in the end we had to force our way in front of a stagecoach bus who had left a safe enough gap halfway up the hill and even then the driver over reacted, went to overtake us and made an obsene gesture to us as he drove past and again when we went past him. didnt get the buses details tho :(

I agree! Its an absolute joke! I usually feel a right prat when queing behind a car which is turning right - because I don't enter the first bit of the bus lane - and the morons overtake me on the left!

Tom, there was no need for the onslaught of abuse you gave him back though.

Lol.

I love the bus lane personally, if you've got a bit of a dint in your car, slam into someone wrongly in the bus lane, get your full wing replaced on their insurance.

Shouldn't have been there in the first place :D

I'm all in favour of bus lanes, but the design of that one really should win the Gyles Brandreth Award for Utter Bloody Stupidity.

How they expect all the cars in the right-hand lane to move to the left-hand lane, and all the buses in the left-hand lane to move to the right-hand lane at the same time in the same place, I'm still not quite sure.
