'Edge of the City' a channel 4 documentary which features Asian men in Bradford grooming young white girls as young as 11 for sex and drug abuse is to be shown on 26th August. The documentary was due to be screened in May but was withdrawn after West Yorkshire Police raised concerns that it could cause racial tensions in the city.

It was everything to do with the local elections. The bnp were claiming it as their party political broadcast and Channel 4 were upset because they hadn't been paid by the bnp.
Ugh, Politicians will do ANYTHING to ger votes.... :(
And what kind of retard would actually VOTE for the BNP anyway? :loopy:

Someone who lives in a free country and wishes to excersise their democratic right perhaps? Using words like retard is not helpful.

God Rich there are a hell of a lot of so called retards in Sheffield.thousands in fact.
No that kind of language is indeed not helpful, but getting back on track I think it was pulled as internetowl say's in order to stop the BNP from getting higher votes than maybe woul'd be the case.
We will never know if the police were lent on by the establishment about this but we certainly think that pressure was applied by someone.
This was just another attempt to slow down the progress of my party but in the end we still got 4 councillors elected, but I wonder how many more we might have got if this programme had gone ahead as planned.
I look forward to watching it very soon.
I agree, Roy (for one) certainly isn't a retard.
However, I believe (to use Roy as an example - maybe not a typical one) there is something that has happened at some time in life to create a 'fear' (for want to a better word) of things and people that are different.
That is a challange for modern politics, and society for that matter.

lol well this is a first for me being pyco analised, you are wrong in your assumption that something terrible has occured in my past ,in fact I had a good childhood.
Your assumption that because I support the BNP then somewhere along the line something has gone wrong is quite patronising and quite wrong.
I dont fear anyone be they white or black, surely I dont need to go into this again as to why I joined the party??
