Can anyone recommend a good place to buy tropical fish in sheffield?

There's a good shop on Langsett Road ont' Hillsborough side of George1V

not sure if its a good place but i think pets at home has them

Isn't there one at West Bar on the corner opposite the Fire and Police Museum?

hi first time here so forgive me if i get this wrong here goes depends on what fish you are you are wanting there is a good aquatic shop at elm lane sheffield lane top .his shop is small but his fish are good never had a problem with any i bought from him or you could go further afield like wharf aquatics see his web site ok bye linda

Think you mean the "international Aquatics"shop.It closed down a few years ago rich.jen x

You could always try the ad mag/free ads usually there are private breeders that advertise and its a hell of a lot cheaper than the shops and i have to admit the fish from private breeders are usually a lot healthier.hope this helps jen x

There is a good place on elm lane near the fire station.

Thanks everyone - much appreciated. Never thought of going to private breeders - thought they would be more expensive. Will also have a look at the others mentioned.

Wharf Aquatics is unbelievable now.Loads of fish in good condition,one massive tank. Now they sell snakes,lizards,insects.
Worth a visit just to look.Also as you come off the motorway, if you carry on down the B road towards Alfreton there is a garden centre on the left that sells tropical fish.It is also very good for plants.

Sheffield Aquatics now (I think) we tend to go there a lot.

Not sure about Sheffield but I'm pretty sure there is a decent place in Rotherham to obtain tropical fish from.

Peak Aquatics out in the Peak District (duh:D) have a huge selection of tropical fish. Both marine and freshwater.
I used to get my fish from there and they were always healthy and lived a long time.

im told that buying direct from dealer is a lot cheaper as they dont usually have as many overheads as shops do.Worth a look i think jen x

Middletons at the bottom of the Moor have tropical fish, but I prefer Sheffield Aquatics in Hillsborough too.

Pastures Farm Koi & Tropicals which is on Eckington Road in Coal Aston is a pretty good little shop, plenty of cold water pond fish and a really good display of some huge Koi.

Also, Maples Aquatics up in Stocksbridge on Hollinbusk Lane is very good for tropicals and the more interesting oddball fish.

Pets At Home in Woodseats have a tropical selection although i've never bought anything from there (despite being tempted by the Clown Knife they have in the display tank)

But as mentioned earlier, Wharf Aquatics in Pinxton, Notts is pretty amazing and will have everything you've ever dreamt of..

I've bought all my tropicals from Middletons in town.
The shop itself isn't much to look at, but all my fish bar one Tetra have survived so far! :)

Ask the experts, Alot of them Live in Sheffield especially Bungle Haze
