This is the two lastest ones I got. One of them keeps making like erm purring noises and chasing after the other one, I think it may be nipping it as the other keeps squeaking. They have been fine all this time and they have plenty of food, veg and hay so there is nothing to fight over so are they fighting or just playing???

Sounds like they are establishing a heirachy, unless they REALLY start going for it ie lunging at each other teeth bared drawing blood I would leave them to it

No they are both female, they are the ones I got from debby on here and she said they'd always been together and they aren't babies. They have been doing it again but they are both sleeping now, very wierd.

My girls do it ALL the time, yet are inseparable (although I don't think they actually nip each other). I'm pretty certain it's a hierarchy thing, they're just reinforcing their authority over each other.

thx, so long as the don't hurt each other!!! One doesn't seem to like me, the other is warming to me quite well but the other doesn't want to know and runs away :(

And yet mine do it all the time? I don't think that they are constantly in heat!

They come on heat for 24-26 hours every 18 days (ish)

mm they've been doing this for a couple of days now :suspect: I have put their cage next to my other piggies cage (also female) but i did that a couple of weeks ago.
