Bit of an odd post I know, I wanted to supprise my Girlfriend and take her for a massage, does any one know of any good places that dont cost the earth, I dont fancy taking her to one of those dodgie places eater, does anny one know of a good place?

Moorview Hair and Beauty at Woodseats do all kinds of different massage therapies. Including head massage, combined therapies, reflexology, tibetan and lymphatic.

I can recommend them, having tried them all at one time or another, very relaxing :)

I'm not quite sure what you mean about taking her for a massage though, they don't normally allow guests!

yeah you need nice smelling oils, warm hands soft music, candlelight and you givin her 1 (lol)not been rude im sure she,ll love it :-)

Thanks, I know where Swann Morton`s is. I have never noticed a place like that there, but will have a look next time we go past.

She charges £20 for a back and shoulder and lasts about 45 mins, but she is a trained sport rehabilitation massager ,

there are/were no baths on division street, roman or otherwise.

the nearest baths to division street would be the old glossop road baths, (glossop rd is the continuation of west street) which again, have never been roman, they are about 100/130 yrs old (maybe 1870s)

it's now a pub, and restaurant with a spa underneath:- "Spa 1872" or something.

You mean the old baths on Glossop Road- the spa underneath and behind the Swim Inn. It does indeed come highly recommended. I enjoyed it immensely.
