Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has ever had a ticket for not paying and displaying in any of the car parks out in the Peak, e.g. Surprise View, Stanage Plantation etc. I believe these are National Trust car parks - could be wrong.
A couple of my mates reckon the charges are effectively voluntary and therefore unenforceable.
Anyone know anything about this?
Ta
The one on Surprise View is certainly not National Trust and is not voluntary.
Dear Saxon,
Since you have the advantage of certainty, perhaps you could let me know who does administer these car parks. Local council, Peak Park?
Anyone else know anything?
Cheers

Park, don't pay and when you get a ticket see who the issuing authority is - simple.

It'll be Derbyshire County Council I would have thought...
I have seen wardens there in the past.

Considering how stunning (and free) the surrounding area is, the fee is a very small price to pay.

The National Trust Car Park is the one at Longshaw Lodge. The Surprise View one is the Derbyshire County Council.

I thought the Surprise View car park was managed by Derbyshire Dales District Council.
Thats the one I was thinking of. Apologies for that!!
