got 2 gerbils given to me as they needed a home, there the same sex, they were together when i was given them can they be kept like this?

Gerbils prefer company and are best kept in same sex groups.
I had 2 gerbils Merlin and Sparkle, both male in same tank.
They did have the odd punch up nothing serious!

We have 3 males together in a cage. They have lived together since birth and never fight. It's only when you introduce adult gerbils together that they will probably fight.

dont know if there little boys or girls cant tell at all is it because they are young?

Male gerbils have quite large gonads for their size. If you look at them from the rear you can see them under the base of their tails, there's no mistaking them.

Are they the same, can you keep hamsters together?

Does anyone know or care?

i think you can with dwarf hamsters but not they syrian ones

I used to have hamsters, but we could not keep any of them together as they would start fighting!!

I have now got a guinea pig, as they will sit on you knee and let you stroke them, plus they talk in squeaks and jump alot wehn they are on the floor, which is funny to watch!!:D
