Maybe the youngsters in the chat room could help you dear, few oldies on here dear ...AND WE DON'T LIKE FULL LENGHT MIRRORS....young-uns these days  I tell Ya!
WallBuilder 07-10-2006, 23:20 Have a look in any of the second hand shops that sell furniture. St Lukes hospice has several shops in the city and they often have mirrors in.
Most of the DIY places like B and Q sell mirrors as well.

Yes, B & Q, or Argos. No we dont like full length mirrors as we get older,Shows all our lumps & bumps. My mother couldnt get me away from the mirror when I was a teenager. Mind you I was gorgeous. !:D

astronaut77 08-10-2006, 09:30 If you can get a lift to ikea with someone - they sell them for about £6!
They're not very wide, but you can buy 2 and put them together - thats what i did and they look great. They're the wiggly ones, you should be able to find them on the ikea website.
chickywiggle 08-10-2006, 09:35 u natural on the meadowhall retail park occasionally do them - not sure how much tho.
Dunhelm Mill (queens rd/chesterfield rd retail park where halfords is) have a big selection of mirrors upstairs... and usually have some sort of sale on
FULL length mirror 2 foot long ???
Not very tall are you!! :)
I had exactly the same problem when i was a student!!!!! Try netto, they have them in there occasionally and they're dirt cheap, or ebay, you might get lucky if someone local is selling one!
Wilkinson's. Very large selection of mirrors of all different sizes, with full length (which is about 4ft not 2ft!!) at around £12-£15.
geckoqueen 08-10-2006, 12:59 Freecycle. I offered 2 almost full legnth ones last week. Both taken STC but PM me and I'll let you know if one doesn't go
If you are anywhere near Crookes, the Scottie Gallery always have some available at this time of the year. They are about 4ft x 1ft and mine cost me £20 but was very good quality wood.
manzmanz 08-10-2006, 19:30 Hi - try The Framework Gallery at the bottom of the moor - I was in there last week and they had a load of mirrors really reduced - if you mean the ones you have to stand against the wall (as rented places dont let you hang them) then this is the place for you.
They also had alot of discounted pictures and frames too - well worth a look.
Its on the very bottom of the moor - down near the red brick Manpower building (or whatever it is these days), opposite Thorntons.

They had 2 styles in last weekend - one was £35, which is expensive compared to other suggestions on here and considering was just a mirror with no frame.
hi, I got a great one from abbeydale road. Do you know where it is? Well, it's on the corner of Marden Road. ( get a mate to look in a - z). It cost me 20 quid.
igotlessthan 09-10-2006, 15:46 Thank you everybody who has given me suggestions of where to go, I'm going to have a mirror shop sometime this week! Please keep on suggesting places -if you want to.
Thanks, Matt
