BB5 SUKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!eleven !! uno!!!! :P

Watched it for the first time tonight (18/6/04) looks like i missed all the good stuff from last night :( I dont know how no one is a bit sus of Nadia, her voice sounds very deep and she's got pretty fat hand, for a lady,if that the right phrase.

I've never been a BB fan but if they can carry on with a bit more scapping then i'll be watching. I might even pay per view!! ;)

Quite a few of them have realised actually, they've made plenty of jokes about it to each other - it's mainly all the guys not the girls what have commented.

I have to admit to being totally hooked!!

I watched the first series but have never bothered since. This series is great. Fantastic mix of personalities who just bounce off each other (literally in some cases!).

Can't wait for more fights/bitching/cold showers etc!!

Great stuff!!!

Well I love it. I'm sorry! So shoot me!

But it's great

There's something very satisfying in seeing a bunch of egocentric complete no hopers making arse out of themselves. It'ss a love to hate thing.

Emma is AWFUL. She's not not even endearing like Jade was :(

I'm not a particular BB fan, but I've found this bunch to be....er....captivating.

The production team put together a bunch of people who clearly have 'issues' and then screwed the lid down in a number of psychological ways. They shouldn't have been surprised at what happened. An adviser to the show actually quit because he warned them that this would happen and was ignored.

Emma is VERY disturbing. Her behaviour throughout has been extremely excitable....

I hope Stuart changes clothes soon....unless it's a cunning plan to use BO to keep Michelle at arms length!

I have to agree with JoePritchard - What is Stuart doing!!?? not only did he do the task in that outfit, had a fight in it and then spent a full day wearing it again, but he was wearing it again!! the next day - he really thinks he looks like a cowboy! and this is meant to turn Michelle on?

Also, NoseyRosie - Me & You both...Thank **** Emma is going, what a housebrick! couldn't stand her since the first day.

bang out of order making emma leave, but letting victor and mary (and indeed nadia) stay. C4 claim it isn't holding her responsible, but it blatantly is if she is the only one being removed. Booming hypocrites.

Vile Vanessa out this week, with the steroided one following her soon after (probably with his tongue still hanging out and asking to feel her boobs again)

aah, Mary vaguely threatening violence again, clearly gonna be a main tactic for him. 'Anyone does anything to p*** me off and I'll go ballistic again' - charming.

btw mods - fraid the merging everything into one thread doesn't really work - as it will be impossible (or pointless anyway) to vote for dan or vanessa after this week!

Commie Pig, may I ask, who the hell is Mary, there is no one in the house called Mary, there is a Stuart, a Daniel, Marco, Nadia, Vanessa, Shell, Michelle, Victor but I am sure that there is no Mary in the house......Oh yes, and Ahmed, damn, I forgot about that boring luser, lol.

Jason = Mary. As in musclebound mary, and cos it would really really annoy him if someone called it him to his face.

I don't like himm, in case you hadn't sussed it :)

Blissy
22-06-2004, 11:24
Kry10, I guess CP is referring to Jason, as he is, quite clearly a Muscle Mary. If I'm wrong, sorry. :P

I' completely outraged that Emma got kicked out while Victor (I'm-such-a-hard-man-for-threatening-women) stayed and Jason (oooh-I'm-so-sneaky-and-tough-and-sexy-apparently) got to stay.

They're both vile, sexist bullies and I hope someone gives them a reight good clobbering. :)

According to the News Of The World this weekend, Victor has told the rest of the house he deals drugs, and beats people up who owe him money for said drugs. They also reckon the reason the live feed was cut during the fight was cos he threatened Emma with a knife. Why theyve left him in and kicked Emma out Ill never know. I mean, I know Emmas bloody annoying most of the time, but Victors just a wannabe gangter tosser.

Blissy
22-06-2004, 12:48
Yeah, slh, I think (hope) that "wannabe" is the key word here. Victor is clearly just a vile moron with ideas well above his station. What he probably meant was when he was a kid he used to run the tuck shop and would slap little girls if they didn't pay him!

I mean, look at the way he twists his cap to the side every time he goes into the diary room, and all that impeccably learnt "street" talk. What an arse.

When he and Emma had their first argument he didn't seem to know what to do when his hectoring and attempts at intimidation had absolutely no effect on her.

Victor - come and have a go if you think you're 'ard enough. :)

Northern girl can take down a southern "hard man" any day of the week. :) :)

I can't believe that the NotW story (about Victor brandishing a knife) was true. If he had done that there's no way that he could have been allowed to stay in the house. And he would probably have been nicked when the police were called in.

I HATE that Victor idiot. He really does think he's ace. Although, I can't help thinking that he's actually an actor put in the house by Big Brother to stir things up and make it more interesting. That would explain why Emma was kicked out and not him. Also, no one talks like that except on Boys in the Hood. He doesn't half make me laugh though - he's so ridiculous. He's GOT to be an actor!! Please tell me I'm right!!!

I've been thinking exactly the same thing! How can he say half the stuff he does with absolutely no humour in his voice? Doesn't he realise that people are simply amazed by what he says? Personally I love to hate him, but he has me glued to the TV, I've avoided being caught up in BB5 so far until I walked through a room and heard some of his self-aggrandising bullsh*t and I just had to stop and watch.

I'm hooked now, curses!

That's because it was a butter knife. NotW just sensationalised it to get people to buy the paper, looks like it worked. The paper didn't lie, it just didn't tell the truth. I hate the NOTW.

Also, are people so gullible to buy a paper because it has 'BB inside' info in it? So a BB insider has spilled the beans...oohhh..must buy it then...der that's exactly why they print 'BB inside' info, so you'll buy it thinking you are getting to know some secrets, when really its all engineered to sell papers and get viewing figures up.

I have to admit, I have been watching it this year, it does make me laugh, but I see it for what it is, an engineered TV prog, which is editted and fixed to create news to sell papers and make money out of the people who are in the house.

The SF poll has now changed and you can make your nominations from all the housemates for the forthcoming evictions.

Ahmed from BB5 deserves his own post - because he is ( in his own words )

A = Amazing
H = Hero
M = Magnifico
E = Excellent
D = Delicious!

:P When he's not smashing plates and screaming, he's telling the diary room he'll have his night soon - in his Dr Evil impersonation! He's a wicked dancer and he doesn't give a s**t about winning!! what a star!

I agree he is less boring than most of the others! He's up for the pubic vote this week along with Becki. I hope Becki gets voted out, although I guess quite a few people on SF would love to see Ahmed get booted out as he is a refugee who came to live in the UK to avoid being killed! :(

Jonesy
06-07-2004, 18:29
I genuinely hope no one votes him out because he decided he 'didn't want to be killed'! Becki is sure to go, to be honest I have no idea why they do this thing of bring people in during the show. They are always going to be outsiders and they are never going to get anywhere near winning the show because of that. She's as good as gone, not only that itwon't be very interesting when she comes out because she hasn't been in there very long so she won't have much to say.

Ahmed is hillarious, the thing is he blatantly has a really sinister side to him, he seems to be a bit of a sex maniac as well with things he says and does every now and again. Plain crazy!

Edited- Hang on, Jason and Victor couldn't vote, right? So both of them got away with being up for eviction despite the fact they couldn't nominate (and that most people in the house don't like them)? That is jammy!

Lestat
06-07-2004, 18:40
Ahmed has to beat Becki - she's absolutely obnoxious! playing the game far too blatantly and full on. How come Vic + Jay didn't vote? that doesn't seem fair?

I reckon the producers of the show are manipulating it to make whoever they want to remain in. Under the rules, shouldn't both Victor and Jason be out already?

Jonesy
06-07-2004, 18:56
Well the theory would have been that if you took away their nominations, that more than likely they would be up for eviction as most people would nominate them (they're not that popular with most remaining housemates), and they didn't have votes of their own to give to other people and take the heat off themselves. However obviously it hasn't worked because neither of them are up.

Well they seem to make it up as they go along thesedays to suit themselves. I agree with you I think they want certain people ie. Victor and Jason out because I think they are worried about another big scrap kicking off, which is more likely if those two are there. Apparently today there was a massive bust-up when Michelle found out that Becki had nominated her for eviction by kissing her on each cheek last week. I despise Michelle with a passion. She is so possessive and so insecure. When she was in the bedsit she showed how jealous she was, someone suggested a naked jacuzzi party and her face turned to thunder and she was absolutely fuming, because she couldn't stand the thought of anyone else being near Stu without his clothes on! And Becki made some comment about him when she came in and Michelle goes 'watch what you're saying you'. Pathetic insecure cow. She is manipulating Stu but he is too stupid to realise (4 A's at A-level?! Who is he kidding?!). Besides, I keep seeing her refered to as a 'stunner' in the papersm is it just me or is she really ugly? Her head is a weird shape and she wears more make-up than a circus clown.

...and let's not forget (as if we could), that 'Nasty Nick' got evicted for (IMHO) a lot less.

But the point that most of the voting public seems to miss is that it is essential to keep the nutty, argumentative housemates in.

Victor stated last night that if he doesn't win he would've wanted Marco, Nadia, Jason or Ahmed to win, cos they have actually done something in the house, whether it be argue, bitch, sing stupid songs etc (this despite him waging his 'war' against the harem... the others (Stu, Michelle, Chelle and Dan) are, by comparison, boring farts.

Who wants to see a replay of Big Bore 4??

Victor is playing the game, but is being completely open with us, the voting public, about it (ie in the diary room he openly admits his gameplan).

Get Stuart out. He's a complete tool.

She may really like him, but how long has she known him?!! She wants to tie him down and have his kids and she's only know him a few weeks, it's pathetic, the sort of behaviour you get from a besotted hormonal 16 year old. Ok if you've been together a good maybe 6 months plus, but it's not like they have even seen each other outside the house yet so who knows if it will work out. On the occasion I refer to when her and Emma were in the bedsit, how long had they been 'an item'?! Two weeks?

She is so made-up and fake, you can tell when someone is caked in the stuff because they look too white and their face has no character or colour because it's all covered up. Plus what is going on with her ridiculous fake eyebrows? She looks utterly ridiculous. I find her absolutely repulsive, and if she says 'chicken' one more time I am going to explode! She came out with a classic line last night- 'I'm not stupid'. Sorry to be the one to break it to you dear, but.....!

I bet when that heffer who broke the picnic table last year (or the year before?) by jumping on it was probably called a stunner in the News of the world!! Nadia looks so much like a man in the school uniform lol, personally I don't understand how anyone can't see it, the night when they were all put in the house and they got out of the limo, it was blatantly obvious that it was a man.

Have you not heard of these feelings happenin before?? I knew me and my bloke were going to last for a very long time after meeting him twice. Even if youd been with your bloke for 3weeks and was besotted thats fair enough, they spend 24/7 together, i know from going to boarding school how that works.

Yes I have had those feelings before, when I was about 16, which is what I'm saying! She comes across as being very insecure and childish. Let's face it, even though I think he is a bit of a plonker, when Stu leaves the house he is doubtless going to be absolutely inundated with loads and loads of really fit girls whever he goes who make Michelle look like Maureen off Driving School. It's not as if she has brains going for her either. She's thik and ugly, but apart from that... :-) Then again, I don't think Stu is as clever as he makes out. They must be giving As away at A-level with a book of twelve first class stamps if he's got 4 of them. Half the time he stops mid-sentence because he can't think of the right word for what he is trying to say.

Stuart is either very clever and relieving his sexual frustrations with someone who he knows will do anything for him or very dim-witted and has never watched fatal attraction.

Michelle is so annoyingly stubborn and openley jealous that it's untrue - get her out!!

Why because thats someones point of view "Freedom of speech" personally I dont like Big Brother and find it about as interesting as watching paint dry, that is my opinion and no ones going to change that. Sorry to say this but there is getting too much over modding on this forum, posts closed etc, why not chill out a little and let the posting flow, btw this was about moderating in general not just a particular mod.

Monty I think you're missing the point here. What is the point in posting something in a topic where people are talking about something, simply in order to say it is crap? That may well be your opinion, but to extend the logic a little further... if you hated football, would you join a football team just in order to tell everyone you think it's rubbish? Would you attend some kind of car convention, just to tell everyone you think their cars are rubbish? By doing that, you would a) be wasting your time and b) contributing absolutely nothing (as Sidla points out). The point is, whilst it may be your opinion (and you are perfectly entitled to that), it is of absolutely no value to the conversation whatever. If everyone did that, then it would be a joke. Personally, I don't like fishing, horse racing, rambling or painting- so now I'm going to run a search on the site for those 4 things, and post a reply in every topic I find saying 'I think it's a complete waste of time and you're all morons'. What do you reckon?

Nothing to do with freedom of speech; if you want to start an 'I think BB is rubbish' topic then fine, but when people are talking about something that they are watching and are interested in, saying it is rubbish, is just pointless!

I wasn't aware that this is a Big Brother is good topic, plus
you said it yourself everybody's entitled to their own opinions.

Jonesy
09-07-2004, 18:29
Firstly, the fact it is a big brother topic is going to mean that people who watch it are going to talk about it. If a thread doesn't interest you, why bother? If I replied to every thread which didn't interest me, I might as well copy and paste 'I think it's rubbish' and post it under the hundreds of topics which don't interest me. But that would be a waste of time, wouldn't it?

Yes everyone is entitled to their opinions, but if you read what I said again, then that isn't the point at all. As I have said above, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but if you're not interested in something then why bother posting something like 'I would rather pour vinegar on my eyeballs' or something equally daft, because whilst it may be your opinion, it contributes nothing. At this point BB has been on for several weeks, so this thread is now just full of people talking about what is happening because the people who don't like it are off doing other things with their time! All the 'BB is crap and I am not going to watch it' should be out of the system by now!

Have just watched tonights episode ( 12/07/04 ) If only the privates knew that Ahmeds stubborness not to do things is actually helping them - they'd feel better! except Dan who is really getting on my nerves at the moment.

Dan has taken over as headteacher of the house and is playing a very clever game. He knows how to influence people very well and is mixing peoples emotions with their part in the task. He is also trying to sway public votes against Ahmed in the diary room.

I think Dan see's Ahmed as the only real threat to his winning BB5. Ahmed is the only real rebel left in the house and Dan also knows that Ahmed has survived several eviction nights so Ahmania is rolling along very successfully - the only way to de-popularise Ahmed is to pick up on his weak points and make sound worse than it is.

Dan is surrounded by weak-minded people who can be moulded into thinking he is the correct type of leader but really he's playing their feelings in order for him to win.

It takes him 20 minutes to construct a sentence.

He wears childrens costumes - all the time!

He did psychology and when asked what he knew about body language he said ' yeah, quite alot'. Then when asked ' like what?' he replied 'I dont know . . . like lots & lots o' stuff' to which Dan had to then help him out.

I reckon the thing about him getting 4 A's at A-level is a complete joke. Ok so maybe they're not what they used to be etc etc but you still have to be pretty damn sharp. How thick is this guy? I have yet to hear him complete a sentence without stopping and saying 'like' about 8 times'. Plus this whole thing with Michelle is unbelievable, like the post above says, how naive can you get?! To be manipulated by someone really intelligent would be one thing, but someone as daft as a brush? Personally I hate Michelle's guts, she is the most appalling example of womanhood I have ever seen. Did you see her last night, seriously claiming that Shell was trying to 'steal my boy' because they were, wait for it, making bread together!? Thing is with most girls, they would be joking if they said something like that, but with her she is 100% serious. Same goes for when Stu didn't want the wedding to be between the two of them. She is insecure, pathetic, childish, manipulative, moody, and above all, ugly. Quite what any man would see in her is beyond me. Get the cow out and boo her into the middle of next week.

Just been on the BB site on channel4.com, turns out that last night she constructed a 'love nest' under the dining room table, totally concealed by chairs, table cloths etc so the cameras couldn't see, and then practically dragged him under there for an hour of action. She really ought to be put in the stocks and have rotten food thrown at her. He's little better. I guess they deserve each other. Dimwits.

Lol, apparently the reason Michelle gave for nominating Jason was that he was too pushy when he was a sergeant. A) She was equally so, and b) if she isn't being pushy with Stu then I must have the wrong definition of the word 'pushy'! Stupid bint, she gets more offensive by the minute. How does she not get one vote?! Crazy.

It's not that he's leading her on, it's her doing the leading, his problem is that for all his (supposed) intelligence, he hasn't got the guts and/or is far too naive to stand up for himself.

Michelle's performance again last night, all over him trying to get him under the table, he said he wasn't sure, so she stomps off in a rage. Stupid woman, if she liked and respected Stu so much she would say 'ok' and leave it, like any genuine human being who liked someone would do And she is in such a serious strop about him not agreeing to the wedding thing. She kept saying it was nothing serious, so in which case why are you so angry about it?! Argh, she is so desperate, manipulative and shallow. Horrible horrible horrible woman. Amen to that! I really hope she gets absolutely savaged by the press when she comes out. You'll also notice that for a few days now, BB are cleverly editing the shows to make Michelle look manipulative, moody and childish. Often in segments she will have the last word and it will be something really pathetic. Then they do that thing where they leave the camera on the person for a couple of seconds after they have finished speaking, as if to say, 'you complete spanner'. Then they'll cut to something else. She is vile. I hate her to an unhealthy extent, is there a number I can call or something?

Lol yep. That's one of the fundamental things that i find so incredible- she looks hideous!!

Last night they edited the show nicely again to show her up. Firstly they showed the conversation with her blatantly breaking the promise she had made to someone she supposedly thinks the world of (hypocritical cow, if you think so much of him then why the hell break a promise). Then there was another bit where the girls were getting ready to perform and she just said something like 'All I've always wanted to be is amazing' and then they leave it on that note and cut to something else. Then there was another bit where Nadia reminded her that it was a 'superficial environment, and it might be different on the outside'. They just zoomed in on Michelle who couldn't say anything back. I don't know if that's because she doesn't know what superficial means, or because she was thinking! She is now being royally stitched up and she deserves every tiny bit of it. I hope she gets egged when she comes out. How id this hideous piece of himan being not get any nominations?! Judging by the way Nadia reacted to what happened under the table, I don't think she was impressed at all and I bet she nominates her next week. Dirty slapper.

Snook is right on. It's over for another year now, do people not realise it's a pantomime? It's meant to be entertaining. I could not believe it when Davina said that before Victor's bust up with Shell, Jason had been 150,000 votes ahead of Victor in the eviction race, but because of what happened Vic then flew into the lead. Would anyone care to explain exactly what Vic did wrong?! He said he wasn't going to speak to her, that's all. He didn't say it to her in an aggresive manner, he didn't shout, and then Shell turns round and calls him two words I shan't even repeat, so Victor is the bad guy for saying nothing of any note, and Shell is the poor innocent one coming out with a totally unprovoked insult like that?!!!! The Nadia thing makes me angry too, people in this country, especially youngsters, are condition to think 'ah bless' and be overly PC towards gays, transsexuals and stuff like that. Everyone is equal, but people go way overboard in trying to make that point, it's over equality. One of my A-level papers last summer, and this happens in exams at all ages, they used a person as en example in one of the questions. So they chose a good English name........ Inderjit!! For Christ's sake, this is England, any chance we could retain just a little bit of identity and have an English name? They are perfectly welcome here, but we're risking losing our identity altogether by pandering far too much to other people. I'm sure if you went to a school in India and looked at their exam papers they have an example called John Smith from Croydon don't they? I think not! It really gets on my nerves, she's loved mainly because of her secret because it is a point of intrigue and for some reason people thinks it maks her cool (what about the fact that when she can't smoke she is possibly the most obnoxious and childish contestant in the show's history, and lord knows there have been plenty of them!), that's why she got on there in the first place. Same reason why Michelle Mcmassiveanus (ok so i modified her last name a bit) won pop idol- because she was hugely obese and therefore championed in a bizarre way by millions of people who started coming out with cliches like 'she's different' etc. If any proof were needed that she was a thoroughly inapproriate winner, then take a look at her career now- she hasn't got one. Anyway, I'm going O/T, so anyway, Big Brother....... :)

Edited- also, just imagine if Victor had said those two words that Shell used, and had called her the same thing. Just imagine how hated he would've been and how much of a slamming he would've taken because it was aimed at a woman. Perfectly ok for her to come out with it to a man though right? Although I suppose she was provoked by the frankly appalling 'I'll speak to you later' from Victor. What a horrible man!

Totally agree with the pro-Victor posts. I was absolutely furious that Victor was voted out. How stupid are the British public. The only mildly interesting people left now, are Nadia and Dan, who's combined entertainment value doesn't rate much higher than a brick. Why do stupid people not realise that the characters have to stay in the house, no matter how detestable they may be? I guess it will always happen this way though, because BB doesn't attract so many higher intellect viewers.

Sad thing is, she blatantly thinks she is Whitney Houston from the hideous vibrato she puts on. I had to change channels when she was singing at the wedding, to say it was cringeworthy would be understatement of the year.

Ha Ha Ha!! :P So true!

Michelle thinks she can sing . . .

Why oh why did Victor in his anger, not burst into the love nest and throw Michelle out and sleep in there himself!? It was for him & Shell anyway wasn't it?

That would have pee'd on the geordie tarts strawberries.

How long do you think you would "survive" in the big brother house?
Don't mean this series, but in general.
I'd give myself a week tops, like my own space too much.

JoeP
25-07-2004, 20:47
Probably about the same! A week or 10 days tops!

I like slobbing around in the bath for hours on end and I don't think that would make good TV. Also, being stuck without a book, writing paper or computer for 2 and a half months would do for me.

I'd miss the missus and the cats.

I spent a couple of weeks alone in Alaska some years back but I had no one giving me daft tasks to do, and I wasn't surrounded by bunny boiling women, weightlifting blokes, nicotine addicts, etc.

Well I'm not stupid. I never actually voted him out, and if i did that doesnt make me stupid at all. I don't care about watching the show, or missing it, i just think the money should be won by someone i like, just like everybody else. All the contestants are interesting to different people. SOmeone might think that stu is the most interesting person in the world, good for them. That doesnt make them stupid either. Each to their own. The characters dont HAVE to stay in the house. Obviously. I didnt want Victor to win the money because i didnt think he deserved it BECAUSE IMO he was really unneccesarily rude to people, boring as all he did was whinge to Jason every day and every night, and stupid. but thats in my opinion, you dont see me sat here calling you stupid do you? She can sing though. She's not out of tune, and I know a lot of people who's singing is very much worse.

I accept that, but there will probably still be someone likeable in the last week even if the characters are left in the house. Victor was the funniest person in the house last week, and by that token he should have been saved from eviction, no matter who he upset. In my opinion, the eviction of Victor last week was pure stupidity, because now the rest of the series will be far less entertaining, but as you say, each to their own.

For me Victor had to go. He was such a tosser. It got to the point where I had to turn the sound off when he was in the diary room stroking his ego. Urgh, vile person!

And now it's about time Jason left who doesn't even want to be there and contributes absolutely nothing to the house, except sleeping and admiring his reflection.

What do people make of Dan and his "I don't want to win. I want to leave now"? Do you think he's being honest? If so, well the door is there why hasn't he left yet?!

I don't think anyone in the house deserves to win! Michelle with black hair should be taken to a vet and put out o her (or our) misery, I think she will have a shock when she comes out to find everyone thinks she is awful, I hope she watches it back and see's what a possessive whinging slapper she is, and lets face it, she aint no oil painting either! Stu is just very very dull and serves no purpose what so ever. Also a huge wimp, not interested in that slapper but stuck with her. The other shell is quite pretty and sweet but boring. Nadia should be deprived of Fags from now till the end, Jason.. well.. bit of a nob! Dan is the only half way sound person in the place but I don't think he will win. They should have an extra number to ring to vote that no one gets cash because no one deserves it.. that's the number I would ring!!! Ok, Victor may have been a bit of an idiot but he was quite amusing! He didn't dreserve to win either tho!

Simple, because he is a complete player and he was just winding them up, and they were stupid enough to fall for it. He stated categorically if he was there in the last week he would go, if I remember right Jason or someone actually asked him to repeat it, and he did. Now come on, he clearly wants to win, that's why he tries to play the mediator/confidant role, to try and appease everyone, the public included. Of course he was never going to leave when he has such an obvious desire to win. Personally I don't like him at all, none of them deserve to win, all the characters have gone, I find it pretty annoying that someone with the personality of a sponge is gonna get a load of money.

Other thing, there's still 6 of them left or something isn't there? Are they going to spring a triple eviction on friday or something? There's usually only 3 in the last week. What I really want to see is Stu and Michelle go in different directions ie. one goes and the other stays, I don't want them to be together. Michelle would be unbearable, as if she isn't already. Whoever said there's never a good enough reason for a man to hit a woman was lying!* Obnxious cow.

*Ok ok.........just a light slap?

Lou
28-07-2004, 11:53
I was thinking that there was too many of them left as well. From what I remember from previous years don't they evict someone mid-week in the last week then have 3 left on the last night? Even so, with 6 left, 1 going this Friday means there's 5 left for the last week. If 1 goes mid-week next week then that's still 4. I can't remember whether they go into the last day with 3 or 4 housemates. Can anyone remember? I'm wondering if a double eviction is on the cards at some point?!

Jonesy
28-07-2004, 12:07
As I remember there is 3 left on the last night, and they leave the house in reverse order, culminating in the last one being in the house on their own until Davina arrives. They must have something up their sleeves. I am surprised that no one in the house has queried it (unless I have missed something). I'm not going to go back and look but I reckon at this stage in previous years there would have only been 4 left instead of 6, one would leave this friday, leaving 3 for the last week.

How funny was it last night when someone shouted "Nadia's a man" over the wall? The others blatently all heard, but noone dared say anything. I think it's about time she told them to be honest, they'll find out when they leave anyway.

Jonesy
29-07-2004, 16:24
The whole business about her 'secret' is rather annoying. For a start, I still genuinely can't beliebe that most if not all of the housemates didn't suss her as soon as they met her. Once you have seen a few trans-sexuals you can spot them a mile off, it is absolutely blatant. Moreover I think her secret is the reason she is going to win- it gives all the politically correct youngsters who have been to a few too many lifeskills lessons at school, to come out with a load of dismal cliches like 'she is being accepted for who she is for the first time in her life' as the texts keep saying on the late night live stuff, and 'we love nads we think she rocks' and all this nonsense. I fail to see what makes her better than everyone else (she is favourite to win) just because she used to be a man. What about the fact that when she isn't allowed to smoke like a trooper she is possibly the most obnoxious and childish contestant in the history of Big Brother? It's a bit like the 'ooh isn't he lovely and camp' stuff with that Brian bloke when he won it. A load of cobblers.

Trouncer
31-07-2004, 11:16
Personally I don't see anything wrong in youngsters being bought up to think that way. It's better than them thinking the other way or being ignorant of this sort of life. Anyway, I'm sure in schools they don't force this opinion anyway but just make them aware of such things and the resons that go with them.

Of course they will grow up and opinions may change but that will come in time.

As for Nadia winning because she was a man or because she holds a secret is b*******. It's true that it can and is hard for her to be accepted for what she is in a world where, despite what people say, are still phobic about sex changes, transexuals and gay's. As you say, it doesn't make her any better or worse than anyone else. However, she will win because people like her. Fags or no fags. They could have stuck in another TV and she could have been obnoxious, and I'm sure she wouldn't have won. People vote on personalities and gut feeling, not on whether it's PC or not.

Jonesy
31-07-2004, 12:26
Have you seen all the texts that roll through on the live stuff at night? Half the time you see all manner of cliches about Nadia being accepted blah blah blah. Exactly what is it that people like about her? She is obnoxious, cackles unbearably, argues like a child (I don't think I"ve heard the hillarious retort, 'no, you are!' in response to an insult since I was at primary school'). People have latched onto her because she is different, not because she is a wonderful person, because she plainly isn't, she has shown that consistently. I don't see how she could've won, fags or no fags, bearing in mind she was in such a foul mood without them that she said she was going to walk if she didn't get any more supplies at one point! So if she didn't have fags she wouldn't even still be in the house by her own admission.

Nothing wrong with kids being brought up to accept people, but we have to take it one step too far. We are too PC. THat's why you're more likely to see some chap called Sinjit in an exam paper than you are an English name, or why every year without fail we see some 4 year old Asian on TV who has gained an E in GCSE turnip farming. Every year without fail that happens, you'll see again this summer when the results come out, and they are basically never English. Accept and embrace minorities, yes. Pander to them, no. If she didn't have anything different or intriguing about her, she would've been dismissed as a moody cow, just like Michelle.

I don't like Nadia either, she just does my head in, and I don't really think she's funny in any way and I just find her irritating. She's probably a really nice person, but that doesn't necessarily mean she should win.

I want Dan to win. Stuart and Shell are just boring, Nadia is annoying, Jason is a bit of an arse but that does make it quite entertaining. Dan is down to earth, rational, funny and just generally likeable. By that token he's my winner. Although I'm sure Nadia will win, because Big Brother is always predictable in that way.

I don't want to see anymore of that thanks! I know it's perfectly natural blah blah, but I don't actually want to see the narcisstic orange beach ball doing it.

Despite his Jungle Cat moods, I didn't think Jason was that bad until the puppet task. I think he was well out of order with what he said and an embarassment.

Also, hiding the booze ? I hate pranksters.

What did anyone else think about his puppet show ?

Lou
05-08-2004, 11:45
I thought his puppet show was a bit nasty. He doesn't seem to realise that just because he doesn't like anyone else that's left in the house doesn't mean that the other housemates can't like each other either.

I think the other housemates do actually like each other. Well, as much as possible when you're under the same roof as someone 24/7.

Is anyone else shocked that Stuart went last night? I know he wasn't one of the biggest personalities in the house but neither's Shell. I was sure it was going to be her that was going to go. I thought all the teeny bopper girlies would have been voting for Stuart since he's a bit of a babe.

Now I'm starting to get worried that Jason might win!

This is the PRO BB thread. There was an anti BB thread somewhere else where you'll find lots of others who can't stand the programme. We in this thread, on the other hand, love it.

I didn't mind who won out of Nadia, Dan or Shell in the end. I'm just relieved Jason didn't win! I would have rung up to vote for whoever was left against Jason. In the end Nadia won by such a majority that I probably didn't need to run up such a huge bill by voting for her in a panic when she was left with Jason! I'm dreading my next phone bill!

It amazes me how judgemental people can be from seeing an edited 50 minutes every night. Fair enough I don't agree with a lot of Jason's habits but you have to remember we only see what Channel 4 want us to see...its not that hard for them to manufacture the result or opinions of people because no one is going to watch it 24 hours a day and be able to form a real, genuine opinion. I totally understand Jason's reactions. Having put himself on public display for 10 weeks to have to put up with the idiots that decide they hate him and boo him...just what exactly did he do so wrong???. Hate is an extremely strong word to use when talking about someone you don't really know. It sickens me that society can make these judgements so blase.
Its like me saying I hate someone on the forum having never met them or got a chance to know them. You should all be ashamed of yourselves :nono:
