Agreed. Was there yesterday for lunch, had a side of fried vegetables and penne pasta with beets, pine nuts and feta. Partner had a salmon sandwich with citrus creme.

Both of the dishes were very bland and poorly presented. The side of veg had the best flavour but was presented with as much flourish as a school cafeteria.

Full of jumped up, pretentious, snobs who think they are extra special because they drink in Sola and Halcyon.

What you on about? Really Wibbles, you’re only embarrassing yourself.

I drink in the Halcyon and Sola, I also drink in Muse, the Forum, Lions Lair, the Lescar, the Porter Cottage, the Wig and Pen, on Friday I was in the Grapes and the Boardwalk.

I enjoy the eclectic mix Sheffield has to offer, though thinking about it, I probably go to these places to avoid people like you.

I wouldn't worry about it mate - with that quote about work and success you can only think we've got David Brent amongst us!

I love the different bars and clubs in Sheffield, last weekend I went to Muse, the Porter Cottage, the Forum, Devonshire Cat, the Cavendish and Old Fire Station, and enjoyed all of them.

Sola is good, not many places in Sheffield have stand up so they deserve to be applauded for that if nothing else.

Sola is still a great place to go for comedy but the food is not as good these days. If anyone knows where the Indian chef who used to be there has gone, can you let me know? His creme brulee was the best I have ever tasted.
Went on Tuesdayand the food was not of the usual standard Had sundried tomato risotto and tasted like something i cooked at home (which is. to be honest with you, the main reason i like eating out!)
Going to start eating at the wig and pen. Had a fantastic meal there the other week and comparable in price to Sola.
