It's national knitting week soon, I wondered if anyone had any plans?
You can visit the official website here:

Its a pity here is nothing going on here in Sheffield ;)

I'd be up for a knitting session somewhere in Sheffield, it'd be nice to meet people in person, (including anyone who reads but doesn't post). We could bring spare yarn to swap, read each other's knitting books, show off finished stuff etc. Anyone else interested?
At the risk of sounding bossy, midweek at the Wetherspoon's at Barker's Pool would be good, it'd be quiet and as it's non-smoking we wouldn't get our knitting stinky. Or the beer at the Devonshire Cat is good...:)

Would you be meaning in the daytime or evening?
I'd probably be able to make it in the day.

I work until 5, so not free 'til then, but we could try to make a really huge meet-up session: knitters of Sheffield unite!
I can talk to Helen the Rowan lady at Cole's and see if she'd mention it at her classes, Jill, if she's there, and unless she has something planned, could mention it in the shop (and please come too Jill, if you're reading this, I'm still amazed at how fast you can knit:o ) If anyone knows anyone at the Knitterati, we could get them to come too; they could end up with some new members, and we could even contact the Sheffield Star (or Jill could to plug her shop at the same time) and we could fill the place with knitters!
Is this too ambitious? If it works it would be fantastic!
Just noticed the official site has a form to have your event published in the magazine. Seriously, we could have loads of people!
