goldenfleece   11 #1 Posted October 6, 2006 1981 Fiesta had a full service and tune, but while its running slightly better in general, no more rattling and clattering valves and tappets, it seems to have developed 'acceleration flat spots'......if you put your foot down hard to gain speed on hills, nothing happens, no increase in engine speed or road speed at all, in fact it feels like the car is being dragged back the harder I put my foot down.....any ideas?  Made some adjustments to the fuel mixture at the weekend as it was starting poorly on cold mornings....this cured the start problems, but dont think this is linked to fall off in power when trying to increase speed, in ANY gear on any sort of gradient. Skatiechik   10 #2 Posted October 6, 2006 Hmmm did you get the timing done the same time as the mixture tuning?
 Share this content via...
