For those that understand how to resolve these matters I am currently using Outlook Express and trying to reply to an email. However when I click reply and the message box appears ready for me to type my message -it crashes.

Like sometimes it will let me type a sentence, but then ultimately crash. Other times it will let me write my message but when i click attatch to attatch my CV for instance, it crashes.........ARGHHHH! Iv had a look at the processes the moment it crashes, I think it has something to do with "WINWORD.EXE" because if I am correct, microsoft word is what Outlook uses for you to write you emails through it.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue? It only started happening today!

Thanks.

Scan for viruses:

Free Virus Scanner Here (http://www.grisoft.com/doc/products-avg-anti-virus-free-edition/lng/us/tpl/tpl01)

If that doesn't fix it - try reinstalling Outlook Express (available here) (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1e1550cb-5e5d-48f5-b02b-20b602228de6&DisplayLang=en).

Failing that, install a better email program like Mozilla Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/).

Other stuff you should try:
Zone Alarm Personal Firewall (free) (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=GB&lang=en)
Firefox Web Browser (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/)

Hope this helps,

b

I think it has something to do with "WINWORD.EXE" because if I am correct, microsoft word is what Outlook uses for you to write you emails through it.

It doesn't use Word to write email messages whether in Outlook or Outlook Express...

if you're using Express, then it should reinstall if you reinstall Internet Explorer.

Alternatively, try using Mozilla Thunderbird...
