View Full Version : Pink and brown???????
UnkleBob 04-10-2006, 20:11 hi, am asking advice, pink t shirt, choc brown trousers and choc brown jacket.
35 yr old bloke, short, built like a brick tishhouse, good colours or what, anyone???? :help:
pinklady 04-10-2006, 20:21 sounds good to me, pink and brown are a lovely combo ....
my personal preferance for mens attire has got to be, nice black trousers, good shoes (black, with matching black socks) and a crisp white linin shirt, sleeves turned back just a little, top 2 buttons open and a nice leather belt.
I know this is very detailed, but on the right man .... its dam sexy

So much depends upon YOUR colouring as well as build, and also the cut of the jacket, the height of the waist of the trousers, etc.
You wanted opinions: I'm not a lover of men in pink, don't know why.
A pair of white trousers and a tight black t shirt are always nice I think

i know a lot of people don't like pink on men but i've worn it in the past and seem to get a good reaction, and about the tight black shirt, i just don't have the physique for that... :suspect:
thanks...

Hows about a photo of you in your chosen outfit?
Not meaning to be rude or anything here but tight black can slim you

alas...no film in my digital camera...:suspect:
babychickens 04-10-2006, 20:40 true, black is very slimming, although if you haven't got hte physique for it then maybe not tight black. i don't like pink on me, either, although brown and pink are generally a good combo. I always think understated is best - spend a small fortune on a really plain but very high quality black or grey shirt and grey or black tie (one black item/one grey item) - it can't fail to look good. although if you go for a black shirt with brown trousers, stick with a brown tie that you've very carefully matched to them. a really high quality one, mind. plain things in cheap material look bad. black shirt goes with almost anything, too.
weenireeni 04-10-2006, 20:41 what occasion is this outfit for?
i like the sound of the pink outfit, if youre more confident in that the women will prefer it anyway :)

tony2311 04-10-2006, 22:29 those colours are great if you are trying to pull blokes
lizzmobile 04-10-2006, 22:58 I love that combination of colours. When I worked in Paris I had this lovely little chocolate brown linen skirt suit which I wore with matching shoes (they were both the same) and a baby pink scoop -neck body.
It looked lovely.
Pink and purple...nice combo.
lizzmobile 04-10-2006, 23:03 See, I like bright red and purple. They clash marvellously but have such vamp appeal!

Pair them with a pastel-coloured jacket with the sleeves rolled up, a pair of espadrilles and an orange tan, and the Miami Vice look circa 1985 will be complete ;) .
Pink can look good, depending on your colouring. If you have a tendency to be a bit pinkinsh yourself (you have pale skin which flushes easily and maybe blonde/red-ish hair), then pink can create a bit of a clash. It's not an easy colour to carry off well (unless you're female and under 5...).
Personally, I rather like chocolate brown and duck egg blue paired together.
BasilRathbon 05-10-2006, 10:16 The title of this thread reminds me of an old joke about a snooker player and a prostitute..... ;)
Sorry, thought this thread was going to be about a completely different subject. I was gonna say brown though.
lizzmobile 05-10-2006, 10:22 Basil and swarm. With super-human effort to keep this forum family-friendly we have all resisted the temptation to post the obvious.
Never mind
