View Full Version : S10 to Somercotes
HarrietStar 04-08-2004, 11:44 hi,
my boyfriend is on is way to an interview at Thorntons in Somercotes and he's just on the Dronfield by-pass. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long it should take from Dronfield and if it's more complicated than it looks on the map! How long should it take in total from say Queens road to Somercotes?
thanks, Harriet
Harriet
It should only take him around 30 minutes from the bypass until he gets to Somercotes. just follow the A61 into Alfterton then turn left at the traffic lights in Alf and follow that road until he gets to pass over the A38 and look for the sign posts which will give him the way into Thorntons, from memory I think it's on the right as you pass over the A38.
HarrietStar 04-08-2004, 12:02 those are the directions i gave him so thats good :) so is thorntons actually signposted as 'thorntons', that would make it nice and easy, haha!
yep, as he starts going up the hill OUT of Alfreton Thorntons is on the right hand side of the trading estate, it actually backs onto the A38 but is 150 yards from the road that he is on and can't be seen from the main road.
HarrietStar 04-08-2004, 12:25 ah brilliant, thanks. well he's not answering his phone which means he's either very cross that I gave him slightly odd directions, or he's there, the second being the better option :)
Either that or he's driving, remember it's illegal to answer the phone while driving now unless you've got one of those bluetooth headset thingies.
HarrietStar 04-08-2004, 18:28 don't worry rich he has a hands free :)

I'm afraid I can't tell you that - I mean , I know it but it won't help family relationships and all that .Anyway I hope he gets the job , it's a good firm to work for - so I'm told .
