how much do you pay for a pint in your area?

and whats the tastiest white wine you can buy??

The cheapest I have found is at my Hall bar, £1.10 during happy hour...

And people wonder why students have a reputation for being drunk!

A the Sheffield Union of Students Bar One they do 2 for 1 until the first goal is scored on Sundays. 2 pints of Worthies Creamflow for £1.35.

Samuel Smiths pubs are still only charging £1.22 for bitter...

I currently pay about £1.70ish for a Pint in the Robin Hood, well I say I pay, more often than not me Dad gets 'em in :D

Well, for hand pulled Bitter:

In Bradway
Old Mother Red Cap £1.22 a pint
Castle Inn £2.10 ish a pint depending on which beer chosen
Bradway Hotel about £2.60 a pint.

In town generally about £2.00-£2.60 a pint.

in Kelham Island area about £1.80 a pint.

I remeber Wards going up from 26p a pint to 29p.

I suppose that shows my age!

You mean it's not 1/3d anymore?:o

I can remember when the price of a pint actually went DOWN.

Way back in the early 60's a pint of Tennants Queens was one shilling and six old pence, it went down to one shilling and four old pence. Never happened since then though!

Cheapest id say is about 2.20 pint of lager and £2ish for tetleys....but thats what you get in dronfield

£2.60 for a pint of Staropramen in the Porter Brook, Ecclesall Rd :(
Comes in a fancy oversize glass. Shold do at that price.

£2.30 for a stella in the Lescar nearby.

Stella £2.93 in my local, good job i don't drink there really! Millhouse near crystal peaks (also local) £2.40 a pint of carling.

£2.67 for Stella and Bitter is approx £2.20 in most pubs on Derbyshire Lane.

Dont drink wine much, although i understand P&G is supposed to be very nice.

They have always had high prices in that pub since it opened.

Banner Cross, think its £1.78 for carling and winners drink at the banner

The thing is since the landlady of my local bought the pub from the brewery she has taken sky off as she says she can't afford it, which makes me laugh as even the quietest back street pubs have it these days. It's the Hogshead at Hackenthorpe btw! I drink in the Sherwood now, carling cold £2.10, every football match on and decent food!


A couple more of expensive ones, Stella is £2.72 at the Royal Oak in Mosborough, and i think it's a few pence more in the Queens up the road, i know last time i bought a round of 4 there i gave the barmaid a tenner and she asked for more :rant:

Yeah, I've payed less than that in LONDON of all places and everyone knows everything is about 3 times the cost in London as it is up here.

A lot of Pubs have chosen to have Sky removed. - eg. Royal Oak @ Beighton...

Sky have upped their charges for the 'pub' version of Sky (the one with the little white pint in the bottom corner) from £3,000 to £13,000 :roll:

Best white wine is Blossom Hill by far
