Aside from that, try making the money yourself rather than leeching off somebody else. Women that use their looks to pull a rich man for money are, afterall, effectively prostitutes.

Gold diggers maybe but prostitutes? A little harsh there T020!
I should imagine its only the stupid ones who are taken in by a women declaring undying love on sight of a bank balance. I know a couple of seriously weathly blokes and they are very wary of gold diggers.
tiffanysara 04-08-2004, 12:54 wouldnt go as far as sayin im a gold digger, ive had all the lows now i want the highs. be nice for a guy to spend some money on me for a change

How about a bloke loving you from his heart instead of showing affection from the wallet? Is that too much to ask for?!

so you're not after a rich man?
Big_flaps 04-08-2004, 15:06 Tiffanysara....................I would run a mile, if i found out that a girlfriend was so pre- occupied with the state of my wealth. It just reminds me of the 'yuppie eighties' and Thatcher's 'out for all you can get 'Britain .
on the other hand, at least you are being honest. Good luck in your endeavours..................let us know how you get on.

Sorry to be harsh but you sound like a gold digger to me. What man would want you if you are only interested in his money?

A rich ugly one. :D
Phanerothyme 04-08-2004, 15:36 ... ... ... ...
i am sure plenty of men with money would want you ... but then maybe you would just be another purchase for them.
if you really are putting money before love ... then you should be quite clear that you are selling yourself ... and it is just a trade ... but then that is your decision to make.
what does that say about the kind of person you are ... ?
personally i think it stinks.
and this seems to me to be the way many young women are these days ... not many have qualities of (what i consider) real value.
alchresearch 04-08-2004, 15:43 I'm almost a half-millionaire but i'm afraid it's tied up in property. I'm lucky if I have £50 to myself after payday!
Yea, I know a few.. in fact quite a lot. The trouble is that milionaires don't do much internet dating.
What you need to do is work out where lots of them hang out. It's not Champs by the way. ;)
I know one and he his desperate for a woman, trouble is
although he is a nice bloke, his social skills are pretty dire and he is not very good looking.
I know two; one is married with kids the other just works to keep himself busy and only goes out with women who do not know about his money before hand. He does spend quite a lot of time online thow.:)
I have 3 that are relatives, all of which are married and wouldn't be interested in gold diggers anyway.
Sam Miguel 04-08-2004, 19:25 I am a millionaire and have proof. Actually, I once won the "Who Wants to be a Turkish Millionaire" Radio Sheffield Saturday morning feature on the Jimmy Carroll show.
So there.

Men don't have to be rich to be considerate. I am rich in affection, honesty, passion and modesty :)
bulldog D 08-08-2004, 13:14 Lets look at the reality here, if those millionaires are out there and single why would you want just one girl anyway?
Sorry Tiff!
have you got a mate out there as well by any chance, as the yachts in Monte are never correct without multiple totty on board!
As for everbody else they're all aspiring millionaires anyway!
Aren't you?
Besides There are plenty of rich people who are unhappy, ugly, lonely, nasty, inconsiderate, ignorant snobs.
So be grateful for what you have now, it doesn't sound to me like you've got such a bad deal out of life!
Have you ever thought... If money can buy it... Its not worth having? The best things in life are free...
I once knew a lady who had bucket of money... kids in private schools, villas, the furs, the bling bling! etc... Unfortunately she ended up losing the whole lot for one reason or another.... Anyway she was happier that she had no money then she was when she was loaded... so it just goes to show money 'CANNOT' buy you happiness... maybe for a while but not forever!
Like someone else has mentioned on here money can make people very unhappy.... I'm unhappy anyway so give me some money lol ;-) (only kiddin- not about the money me being unhappy) :-)
Our_heritage 09-08-2004, 00:46 there is millionairres that own land (farms, etc) and support the BNP, because they love their land sooo much, and are so proud of their heritage that they cannot bare to see it go.

Boo - a post where you didn't manage to shoehorn in the BNP :(
miniminch 09-08-2004, 21:22 Money and status are inseparable. I think you may be after someone with status. Afteral money is one of status' visible signs. However some people have money without status this is usually entirely through luck eg lottery winners, inheritors and Sue Pollard. Be careful that you don't confuse the two. Do you want someone with money or someone with power? I am in the unusual position of having status and no money but this is very rare but you will have to admit an interesting combination. If you like feeling important but don't mind grinding poverty;I'm your man!
What is 'status' ... define it ...
uptheowls 13-08-2004, 16:47 a few of my friends dads, and my mums friends husbands are millionaires. you ever heard of ant marketing? Antony hinchcliffe. a couple or years sooner u could hav had him lol.
Unfortunatly I do know one or two but they are too caught up in the money trap to consider anyone else sharing it.
Big_flaps 13-08-2004, 18:14 There has just become a £7000 000 millionaire.....but i suggest you keep well away.
But gave it up in the end.
All U need is real love, if only I could find some.
Draggletail 13-08-2004, 18:48 I have a friend who is a MULTI millionaire (you would never know it to look at him) owns huge amount of property. Lives at Hunters Bar (allthough he could afford to live anyware)
I did a clearance job for him today, the bill should have come to £95 but 'cos he's a mate, and I know how tight he is I Knocked £15 off and called it eighty. More fool me!
When I gave him the bill I thought he was going to cry!
I pointed out he had a discount and it was cheaper than a skip, but he was still unhappy. Later I rang up a competitor of mine and they quoted £140!
:loopy:
Update 15/08/
Anyway, this particular MULTI millionaire has decided it's too dear, he does not now want me to take the Items to the waste transfer station - 'can I take the stuff to the garden of one of his properties where he can burn it'
I dont suppose he is expecting a bill for collecting the stuff from the three properties in the first place and offloading at the place he wants to burn...
I've seen this guy buy £20 rounds in the pub...
Watch this space....

And the clue I left here previously is now edited out!!
Funky Dave 15-08-2004, 01:07 If you're that bothered about wealth, why don't you go out there and try to ****ing earn it like the rest of us do? Idiot.
There was a similar post to this recently. Since, I've been investigating one fella and discovered that he's very unusual and pretty wealthy (understatement) - self made and wees on many of the apparently rich folk in the area.
I was hoping to write something scathing about him - well, tongue in cheek anyway about spoilt young super rich etc.
I persuaded him to do an interview and we met up where he lives in Derbyshire – mind blowing. He is amazing- has a charisma that totally captivates. Never met anyone like him before - and I'm a straight bloke. He's done so many things and yet he's, well, just amicable. I’ve never reacted to someone like that before – so it came as a bit of a shock
The thing is... he's cautious. He doesn’t give much away. I asked him about relationships and he laughed. I quote, "It'll take an extraordinary woman to melt me, but I'd rather like to melt."
Having met him, I liked him, I decided not to write anything unpleasant about him. He's just a little bit brainy, that's all.
So I'm not going to say who he is. He's completely eccentric but very nice, and most of all, kinda modest. He's one of those people you know is wealthy, but he's so down to earth, just a little bit mad and hilarious. He doesn't deserve adverse publicity so I'm still deciding if I'll write about him at all. I think I will soon, with his permission.
If this sounds like I’m sucking up to the fella – then I put my hand on my heart and say yes I am… he was totally inspirational.
Tiffanysara, PM me if you wanna know who he is or where he hangs out, but I can't guarantee it'll be helpful to you on your quest. You never know… just buy me a hat and call me Cilla! :)
