JillM 04-10-2006, 07:08 At the risk of advertising ..... I own The Wool Baa at Hunters Bar and a very lovely lady called Jean runs crochet classes there. She is very good. Classes run every Wednesday afternoon 12.30 - 1.30 and cost £6 (£4 unwaged). Evening classes resume on 7th November (Tuesday). See http://www.thewoolbaa.co.uk (although the class schedule moves along through techniques, Jean is happy to take beginners on each class as she is smart enough to deal with that!!) Hope this helps. Jill AmelieB 04-10-2006, 09:56 Jean is dead good - she's managed to teach me, and I was a total crochet numpty. The classes are really friendly too :) Lucy-Lastic 04-10-2006, 11:34 Ooo just been and had a looky at the workshops at the Wool Baa and theres a nice one on felting (you make a cobweb scarf then make felt beads).....but its full:rolleyes: Hecate 04-10-2006, 16:10 Jill, can I suggest that you add the link to the Wool Baa to your signature? Go to 'Your CP' in the left-hand panal, and from there click on 'Edit Signature'. If you want to make the link in your sig look like this: The Wool Baa (http://www.thewoolbaa.co.uk), instead of like this: http://www.thewoolbaa.co.uk, have a look at this (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=98060) thread. Thanks for posting the details of the classes, by the way :) . JillM 04-10-2006, 17:57 Thanks Hecate. I will add the sig to my posts. I was really waiting for your approval as I didn't want to use the forum as a free advertising tool without your sanction. jill JillM 04-10-2006, 18:00 Hi Lisa - look out for notice of forthcoming felting classes which will be added to the web site over the next couple of days. There is a waiting list of 11 for the intro class but this does not mean you will have to wait until the third class as, of course, not everyone can make the earlier dates.(max of 5 per class). It's about time you visited the shop anyway......;-) Jill Hecate 04-10-2006, 18:05 Thanks Hecate. I will add the sig to my posts. I was really waiting for your approval as I didn't want to use the forum as a free advertising tool without your sanction. jill Well, you have to pay me, of course ;) . Check out the FAQ and Site Rules in the left hand panal for the details about advertising other websites on the forum. I can't recall off-hand, but I think a one or two line sig, including a link, to an external web site is fine. PM the forum's admin (via the 'contact us' button) if you have any specific questions though :) .
