cant you send them a letter stating you won't be paying any rent until they pull their socks up and sort the problems out?

Check your buildings contents insurance - you may find you have access to free legal advice, or if one of your household is a mamber of the students union (or possibly any other union ;) ) .....

well, if you've sent them letters, and it's a structural problem, I think your next port of call is the council, who can either enforce maintenance, or instruct a contractor, then bill your landlord  :D

globeline estates are really bad aswell.

sorry to use your thread to say this.

i was renting with them and while i was there the house went up for sale and i walked in on a couple being showed round the house by the owner.

as you can guess i wasnt happy.

so noone go with globeline either.
