Can anybody explain why jeremy kyle gets away with what he does

Not sure he gets away with anything to be honest. He just has idiots on his show who like to air their dirty washing in public for cash, and he gets to have a go at them and get paid for it too.

What exactly is he doing wrong that can be seen as 'getting away with it'?

I like Jeremy Kyle's style, he tells it how it is and says what we're all thinking.

If you think it's wrong, don't watch it, he's still on TV because people apply to go on his show. They know what he's like, if they apply for it, they're asking for his opinion at the end of the day.

If I'm feeling fed up I watch JK & Tricia, it cheers me up no end laughing at the ugly, tattooed, unemployable pond life that is always hard done too.

Jeremy uses a zero tolerance approach to the majority of individuals who seem to wallow in their own hell of self pity. I for one hope that he remains to fuel the entertainment of the nation whilst provoking rational thought in those less fortunate than ourselves.

I think you mean devolution Don? These people have only descended to their particular rung of the food chain thanks to the availability of benefits, Argos jewellery, Greggs, ambulance chasing compo payouts and an inability to recognise the pill, a condom or an IUD.

Their antecedents were probably regular people with maybe a wonky gene making their spawn more susceptable to idleness when the political/social/economic conditions were right :D

It doesn't make them the sharpest knife in the box either! Very occasionally there might be someone who is looking for a lost relative, or a parent who gave up a child for adoption and going on tv can get the message out.

But DNA and lie detector test results being announced on National TV - why would anyone want what could be the ultimate humiliation?

i think JK is really good!

He tells it straight and how it is, and says what everyone else is thinking. He also isn't going ot guve help out for free is he? if he can get a person to admit they have a problem he will help!

Jeremy is great, you should see this show they do in the states, the presenter is Maury Povich, he does dna tests, he once had a woman on who he had done about 20 tests for to find out who the father of her baby was and they still havent found him, some of the videos are on youtube.

Jeremy Kyle is the English Jerry Springer really, although his show is just Trisha with a male presenter, and even more show-off wannabe chavs.

And no, I don't watch it, nor have I ever been on it before anyone even goes there.

I liked him at first, but I do think he stirs it up a bit now.Likes to get them going,attacking each other & swearing.Hes not bothered, he makes lots of money doing the show.Also saves them having to pay for a dna test.

i think that some of the so called guests are set up too,a few months ago a guy called sam who lives at stradbroke was on the show with his girlfriend who alleges he was agressive towards her and very sexually demanding amongst other things.jk tore him to shreds and ordered him off the stage.lo and behold on tuesday this week sam was on again with a friend,they had brought another friend on as she was sleeping with a married man and wanted her to stop.there was no mention of sam being on the show as a previous guest as they usually do,and jk was all nice and polite to him.these people obviously make money out of going on these shows,

I had a day off yesterday for the first time in ages and watched 5 minutes of JK and its definitely as bad as I remember!! it's embarrasing to watch! I always wonder what visitors to this country must think if they ever catch a glimpse of this program. It makes me cringe I dont understand why they would give television time to half of these people when there are so many other importnat things going off in the world.........rant over xxx

Ive only seen it a couple of times but the man is unbelievable! He is so rude and has to be right all the time. Even when the person whos in the right is talking he interupts them or shouts at them.He hasnt got a sympathetic bone in his body!

I heard that he used to be a radio presenter and on his show they matched up two listeners on a blind date. They later got married but was soon divorced and coincidently mr jeremy kyle ended up going out with the divorced wife!!!!!! maybe they should put that on his show lol

I do not like him or his programme,but am compelled to watch it, by the fact that when I hear the people on his show shouting & swearing,having affairs,drug taking etc; my life doesnt seem too bad by comparison.

I think the whole programme is DANGEROUS. He has presenting skills ,.....sure but he is not a therapist, and certainly does not have the skills to facilitate proper change /conflict resolution between usually poorly educated and inarticulate people in crisis.

Is it me or does Jeremy Kyle thing hes god. Why does he think all of his desicions are what everyone should do. Ive started working nights and i watch him in the morning and he just makes me laff!

The other day there was a gambler on who lost just under a million pounds and he said i know how you feel, i'm a Gambler too!

Yeah, alrite so i take it JK has lost the same amount!

And the lie detector tests dont even get me started lol................

Strange that I hardly ever watch it but happened to catch the bit with the gambler. He was constantly telling people to be quiet while someone else talked, yet managed to talk over just aboout everyone. And everytime I have seen him he has said, he has or someone he knows has been in the exact same situation.

Having said all this I quite like the guy at least he gets people told instead of pussy footing around them like some of the others do.

Well I love this show. I think it is fantastic - I work 7 days a week and video it everyday.
I think Jez is absolutley fantastic - If you listen to his radio show you will see a different side to him he has to come over serious on the TV but on the radio he is just a fun man :D And I love him!

Thats just my opinion but JEZ is fantastic

Although maybe all the guests get bribed with aftershow dentist care as they all seem to have shocking teeth .

I turned on the tv about 10 minutes ago - the Jeremy Kyle show. :shakes: I rarely have tv on during the day, but any time I've seen this it makes me despair. No wonder we have children who are out of control at an early age - they are growing up with appalling role models, families whose only communication is to yell over each other, aggression spewing out of their mouths along with gratuitous swearing.

What makes families behave like this? Do we need to introduce compulsory parenting classes for the worst ones, or should we just abandon those children and leave them to grow up in exactly the same way as their unfortunate parents?

I think the fact that the show is always sponsored by online bingo companies shows that they care more about making money than helping people who come on the show and watch it.

I'm sure it used to be sponsored by LearnDirect, which seemed a lot more sensible.

Also, he offers people a "DNA" rather than an actual "DNA test". It almost makes it sound like he actually wants to interfer with people genetic structure. I wouldn't put it past him.

becuase he is good at what he does thats why. like someone said people go on there to wash their dirty linen in public and if they can't accept the criticism then they shouldn't go on there in the 1st place, most people who go on their are either unemployed been in prison alcoholics no normal person would want their problems discussed in public they would try to resolve them themselves, however i have to say its good for jeremy he makes a good living from it.

i also like jk at the end of the day what u see with him is what you get. if you can't take the criticism and don't like what he says then don't watch it.he still manages to get people wanting to go on his show so he must be doing something right.
