Hi - just wondering if anyone's got any good/bad comments about either the Sloan surgery or Meersbrook medical centre on Chesterfield road?

Fairly new to area so just about to register at one of them... and I don't know which to go for!

My girlfriend and I have been registered with Sloane’s for about 6 years and can recommend them.

We have always felt looked after, and have been very impressed with the level of care, particularly during my girlfriend’s pregnancy, and since the birth.

I don’t know if this applies to you but they have handy drop-in sessions to see the health visitor with the little one, and were great with advice and vaccinations when we were travelling.

Sloan surgery is good alto difficult to get appointments sometimes

My husband has been with the Sloan surgery for years and years. I sometimes go with him and think that the staff seem really pleasant and helpful. He has never had a problem with them.
I'm with Heeley medical centre and haven't had much cause to go and see them so can't really comment on the service as they don't really know me and I don't really know them.

Couldn't get an appointment until a week on Monday - one nurse has left and another's on holiday apparently!!

I've been with them for a couple of years and they're lovely although I would add, getting an apointment quickly can be a struggle if you want a specific doctor. They came recommended from my previous doc too.
