Pick the area you want to go to and look here (http://www.nepnicheweb.co.uk/derbytourism/popup.asp?file=http://pddhants2.greatbreaks.tv/DERBYCCaccommodationsearch.asp) , campsites all over Derbyshire.

I camp but am quite happy with a loo and shower. There is a good site at the end of Lathkilldale, in Monyash, but the loos are a walk and the showers are a bit further, so maybe a bit primitive. The pub up the road is good for food, and there is some good walking.

Will figure out some more for you.

Not quite in the Lake District, but its as near as dammit. Its called Wild Rose Caravan Park and its about 4 miles outside a town called Appleby. Cracking little site, in the picturesque Eden Valley:

WILD ROSE PARK Ormside, Appleby CA16 6EJ. Tel 017683 51077 Superior park with site for 240 tourers and 60 tents. Facilities available include toilets, showers, shop, restaurant, games room, TV room, swimming pool & play areas. Site open all year to tourers. Reduced facilities in winter.

hope this helps, no website unfortunately.

There is a pub at the top of site which does good food, excellent walking, only tip camp on higher ground because if it rains badly it does flood in some areas. There is also a camping barn here if the girls decide not to be brave.

Hollin's Farm, near Boot in Eskdale. Very quiet campsite - absolutely beautiful area, great amenities, and a nice distance from the usual tourist packed areas of the Lakes. It takes a little longer to get to Eskdale than, say Langdale, but it's well worth it:

Plus, the Burnmoor Inn, just down the road from the campsite is a superb pub, with great ale!

Hope that helps.

I like Fieldhead campsite in Edale. Lots of facillites and very close to a couple of nice pubs.

You need to book in advance though.
