I need a cat flap as I cant be bothered to let the little blighters in and out the whole time. But you have to cut a hole in the door dont you? Isnt this quite hard to do without the proper tools? Or am I being a real girl...

The bathroom door has also warped so it has to be slammed to shut properly. Its a lovely way to be woken up of course, but it would be wicked if it just fit.

Does anyone have any recommendations who may be able to do these jobs?!

an easy way to get through your door for the cat flap is draw where you want the hole then drill multiple holes just inside the line

I'm a girl and have fitted both our cat flaps in our last two houses. They give you the measurements - just use a large drill bit and drill the four corners then saw the square. Only problem is those UPVC doors - full of polystyrene stuff so you'll need sealer to go round the edges of the cat flap too. You can do it, at least give it a bash!

I've fitted a cat flap in every house we've had, and it's pretty easy. Most catflaps (we've usually used Staywells) come with an outline of the hole required, and, like KJ_Venom said, mark out the hole pattern and drill holes inside it. I've done that and then used a very thin saw to cut from one hole to the next.

I know a guy who is a plumber but he's capable at several trades, & likes to get a bit of variety. The cat flap thing would be a doddle for him. He has no set charges & usually just takes time + difficulty into account when billing, so this small job shouldn't be much.

His no is 2216283, or 07960510889

Plodder.
