The Priory on St James St, near the cathedral, has been taken over this week by myself(Andy) and my best friend (Gary).
We are very aware that not a lot of people know that this gem of a bar exists so i thought i'd put a shout out on here to invite you all to come down and see the bar, meet us and have a few drinks with us!! We may even throw a few drinks your way!!!

I can't say I've had bad experiences there in the past - I've had lunch there several times over the last couple of years and it's been fine.

Good luck - it's quite likely I'll be in soon as a 'secret shopper'. :)

Last went in there in July on a Stag do, bit pricey drinks wise but a very comfortable place..

i've been in a few times, always quiet, on my lunch as work in the surrounding area, may have to come in again, have a look,

I used to go into the Priory a lot when shopping, but a few months ago, (maybe 7-8 months ago?) the service seemed to get really bad, and I had to take my beer back a couple of times. My friends are an unforgiving bunch so they've veto'd it as a result of these few bad experiences.

Hopefully now its under new management I'll be able to talk them into giving it another try

booked my 30th b'day party at the priory with andy and gary and they have been more than accommodating. looking forward to it
