Hello,
I (and two kids) have recently all got bikes and are enjoying going out together. Derwent and Rother Valley are lovely, but we would like some other places to go. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

wharncliffe forrest is a good place to go riding,
(park in grenoside)
it may be a bit hilly in places but it should be no probs,
the canals from sheffield to rotherham are a pretty easy ride too,

Thanks for those replies. I will try them. I have been born and bred in Sheffield and just couldn't think of anywhere else that was more or less traffic free.

if you drive take the bikes out to Londendale.it is often frequented by mountain bikers including the uk cycle team(who think they own the road).it has a good 6mile flat stretch alongside lakes and hills.nice parking with a cafe as well.
