I've heard about a Skate Bown in Meersbrook Park, can anyone tell me if one exists or if they know that one is going to be made? Or is it just talk?

The Meersbrook Park Users Trust has secured funding for a skate bowl in the park for use by boarders, bladers and bikers. I *think* but I'm not sure that planning has been approved and certainly a couple of months ago they were doing test digs in the park around the area it is set to be built. Don't know the latest though but I think it is going ahead.

Yes, they were at the area panel meeting in Septembe and confirmed that the funding is secured and the work will be taking place.
Not sure about time scales, but I think within the next 12 months.

Meersbrook Park Users' Trust have done a terrific job in securing the funding for this project. As you say, planning permission has been granted & we hope the work will begin v soon.
Just for the record, the Trust is made up of local people who really care about the Park and those who use it.

Sounds like a great idea. Do any other parks in Sheffield have skate bowls ??
