I've Just Been Talking To A Bloke In My Shop. He Told Me That Over The Last Few Days He's Been Charged 40p And 45p For Mars Bars (Standard Size) And Both Times He Declined The Purchase Complaining The Prices Were Too High.

I Was Just Wondering What's The Most Anybody Has Paid For A Mars Bar,And How Much Would You Would Pay For One (Without Feeling Ripped Off),Bearing In Mind The RRP Is 35p.

Personally I Think Anything Over That Is The RRP Is Retailers Greed At The Expense Of Customer Relations.If Somebody Leaves Your Shop Feeling They've Been Robbed They're Hardly Likely To Come Back Again.

And Yes,Before Anyone Asks I DO Sell My Mars Bars At The RRP.:)

in our vending machine at work they retail at 40p. theyre normalyy dearer than that in a petrol station.

I don't see a complaint here. If you think the price is too high, you don't pay it; if everybody thinks that, the vendor doesn't sell any and has to lower his prices; if most people disagree with you, he sells them just fine and doesn't care whether you buy them or not.

They are 50p in the vending machine at work.

I don't think £1 would be over priced for such a chocolatey treat which helps me work rest and play :D

don't know abut mars bars but i know of a very elevated price shop that occurs quite frequently in town that sells bottles of coke (SMALL ones) for £1.19 - now COME ON most places sell emfor 95p - do many people ACTUALLY buy stuff from this shop with these prices???
i would normally pay anything up to 40p for a choccy bar - anything over that is just taking the mikey. wish toblerones would go down in prive tho - they are WAYYYYYYYY to expensive.

The only thing I am thinking is god I'd hate to be so poor that I'd care enough about 10p to "decline the purchase". I mean you can say it's principle but what the hell, just pay the money, B I G D E A L. If I wanted a Mars Bar I'd be happy to pay 45p or whatever your friend is moaning about..

I think the Capital Letter Thing is that on some programs, if you type all in capitals, the program reduces it to just the initial letter of each word. So I was told :)

In our local cafe, all choc bars are 40p, mars, snickers etc ... and jolly nice they are too ... and well worth it!
