Does anyone happen to know of any camp sites around south-east sheffield? My in-laws are coming over from france next week and want to camp while here, but despite endless searches I still havent found anywhere remotely close :/

Nearest would be in Edale I think... Short of letting them set up camp in your back garden :D

There's a couple of campsites out near Hope, just after Hathersage. It's quite a way outside the town, but not too far. There's one site behind the Travellers Rest Inn that's pretty good... Mainly cos it's right next to a pub! ;-)

There is one at Fox Hagg Farm at Lodge Lane (0114 230 5589) Between Redmires Rd and Manchester Rd. That's the nearest one mentioned so far!

ISTR another thread here about Morcambe and Wise staying there when they played in Sheffield.

Of course, you could just call the Sheffield Tourist Information Office ;)

Yeah, it seems like Edale has the bigger choice and I think I might have found one. I was hoping for something closer, but all in all it's not *that* far really. Just gotta see if they have room at short notice ;)

Thanks for the help, very much appreciated :)

Didn't they say south EAST, not west? Does Rother Valley still do camping?

Clumber Park is probably the nearest to the east of Sheffield.
