Has anyone got any suggestions for places to go for a nice day out with your dog?!

Preferably nice for humans too, with somewhere to eat.

Ideally places not too far away from Sheffield!

Rivlin valley near Hillsbourgh, go along holme lane and turn left onto Rivlin Vally road, there is a park that you set off from that has Map of different walks and also a really nice cafe owned by The pudding ladies, lovley cakes and meals etc, You can sit in or outside and there are place for your dogs. It is really lovley.

sutton on sea near mablethorpe .... its perfect!! horses and dogs can go on the beach all year round and its a pretty desolate beach which makes it ideal for dogs to run free.please clean up any mess though as all dog lovers should :)

That sounds like just the ticket!
I'd love to take Gadget to a beach!
Cheers.

If your up for a good walk, about 14 miles I think, walking from Redmires Reservoir to the Fox House pub is always a good one. I'm not too sure on whether they allow dogs inside though.

Hmm might be an option for summertime then - but I don't fancy walking 14 miles then not even being allowed inside to warm up/dry off!

They have patio heaters - but if the blue people outside last time we passed were anything to go by.... ;)

Check out the Walking Group ;)

We've had plenty of nice trips out, dogs included, usually finishing somewhere for a pint. Mind you it will be getting colder from now on and beer gardens tend to lose their appeal when there is an open fire inside.

If you fancy further afield Bridlington is good for playing on the beach with a dog.

sandsend near whitby, great run for dogs (off-season only) we walk from there to whitby, up the hill into whitby, fish and chips sitting on the overlooking the harbour and then back again, takes about thre-four hours if you take your time, ball throwing, stonedigging, paddling etc.

So we need to find some routes that end in a dog pub then ;)

Looks like I've just volunteered myself to organise a walk
