The big oil companies do more general advertising such as telling us how committed they are to green stuff.

There was a great BP advert in the paper last week. If you're concerned about the amount of carbon your car produces you can send them a donation to offset it!

That's probably right Ken, but NOT telling us where the mobile phone transmitters are in the petrol stations.

When we were kids, we had a wall in our house just the right size for a billboard ad - my mum wanted the esso tiger splattered all over it, but she never found out how to get one :(
