What punishments would be appropriate for those twins, Luke and Alan Brown?
Anyone like their Mum who thinks that they are just a couple of cheeky chappies?

Those two twins are so annoying. What a pair of pathetic, whinging, cowardly, weak morons they are.

Why they think they are so hard I just don't know?!

No doubt their silly mother will say they did well and are lovely lads. Perhaps they such be called Alana and Lucia, girls names for a right pair of big girls!

Sod having the misfortune to serve along side this pair of 'Jessies' in the real army. The punishments suffered by the rest of the section on their behalf would have resulted in them being taken 'round the back' and sorted by the section by now.

What amazes me about those two pathetic scum is their continuing ignorance to what is going on around them.

They have the attitudes, they are the ones who think they are hard and have the balls to disrespect the soldiers, and complain when they are not happy. They think this is strong.

The strongest of those lads are the ones you never see or hear - the ones who have the balls and strong mind needed to perform well.

The ones that complain and lose their temper are the weak ones, and they dont realise.

And its those same idiots that almost cry every time the going gets a bit tough.

Idiots.

The look on the soldiers faces says it all.
It just looks like they want to pummell their faces into the wall

Fat lot of good an attitude and a tendency to complain will do you when you're looking down the barrel of a gun!

Too true Carmine.

If training seems tough, they've got no chance when the brown stuff hits the fan.

That's what the cruel/rough side of the training prepares them for, and these two 'crater-brains' won't last five minutes cos if the enemy don't sort them their colleagues would.

Come across a few like this in my time. These were soon sorted out with request from the sgt. The section need to get a grip of him, he is dragging them down and it is affecting moral. They cannot pull together with this guy in the ranks. If it weren't for the cameras I think he would have been sorted out by now. Hopefully the majority now seem ****** off and are going to have a word with this idiot.

In the past, if a recruit spoke to the NCOs like they're doing the NCOs would have handed them a pair of boxing gloves and settled it in the ring. After the amount of insubordination shown so far, they'd be doing six months in a detention centre by now.

In the real world it would have been a one way trip to trap one with rope climbing all day everyday. Send them to Colchester for a look.

You've got to wonder whether Colchester is as tough now as it was though Lickszz. What with the PC situation and all. God, wouldn't you like to see the gobby one there, as it was though.

It wouldn't surprise me if it had been closed already.

IF it has closed, wonder what the alternative is.

Maybe they have to listen to Des O'Connor records all day!

God, would THAT stop you reoffending!:(

In english please? Also, there isn't a 160 character limit on these messages either, unlike text messaging.

Other than that, welcome

You wouldn't be the president of 'The Prat Appreciation Society' by any chance, would you?

Hmm. I'd like to think she's joking in a very convincing manner. The alternative (you being right) is too frightening to contemplate. Actually you have a point. This type never seem to be short of a certain type of female admirer.

Anyone happen to watch the finale last night?

I thought it abit unfair separating them at the end - they've all done the 4 weeks so all deserve abit of a party on the last night. I'm surprised there was no violence, especially as they're all ex cons!!

I've watched the entire series and noticed again that some of them were ssaying in no uncertain terms that a stint of national service would be so much better than prison or community service for a lot of young offenders.
You could see how chuffed they all were to be parading in front of their families and 11 of them went over to the army recruiting van to ask about joining the regular army. I'll be watching the program next week as it catches up with some of them back on civvy street,
Two things, 1. roll on the next series and 2. when are the government going to pay some attention to what these young petty criminals have been saying in respect to National Service.

Would you realy feel safe with that lot running round with guns ?

I don't think that they'd be allowed to run around with guns, well not in the early stages at least. Most of them seemed to be under the impression that there were no consequences to their actions and they could get away with virtually everything, probably because the law and courts have no choice but to allow this [courtesy of namby-pamby government legislation] However this state of mind changed quite rapidly when they found their kit being ttrashed and far worse if they didn't do what was expected of them.

Being shouted at and having my kit trashed wouldn't make me change my ways, it would just make me determined to not do as I'm told.

I expect these kids volunteered to go to this camp, so they probably went with some kind of co-operation in mind (that and being on TV, the great motivator), I think it would have been a different story if they had sent people who didn't volunteer and didn't want to improve themselves.

I would imagine that there was a fair amount of 'dialogue' going on that we as viewers were never privy too but either they lied about the past reputations of the bad lads or something did indeedhappen to them.
Most people myself included can feel quite brave when in a group but when you are singled out for attention and you haven't got your mates to back you up or to play up for it's a different kettle of fish.
There was also the team idea as the two groups wanted to be the better and also if some-one mucked up there was the chance that the entire section got punished which would of made life veery uncomfortable for the miscrreant.
I'd be very interested to see this government actually try the national Service route as it seems to have some success in the United States where it is called Boot camp. It'd also be interesting to hear people who experienced national Service in the 50's and did try to buck the system, did they succeed I wonder?
