I have changed my dogs food and have quite a bit of the old dried food left. There is nothing wrong with it but it has been opened. Does anyone know of any dog rescue places that might take it.

It seems silly to throw it out.

I am in North Sheffield.

I believe Morrisons in Hillsborough have a dog food donation tub behind the checkouts.

Thornberry will charge you to go to the shelter to donate food though- alternatives are

Wath Animal Rescue- 01709 876658

Barnsley Animal Rescue Centre- 01226 746344

There's also an animal rescue centre in Millhouses, but I can't find any contact details for it at the moment.

I think you may be thinking of Millhouse Animal Sanctuary in the Mayfield Valley. www.mayfieldanimalsanctuary.org.uk They are in need of any donations going, as they've see the number of dogs coming through their doors increasing dramatically since the RSPCA Spring St centre has closed.
