Ha ha ha ha!!!!

She's even up to her old trick of asking for 80p for "the bus fair"... That's histerical, best thing I've seen yet today.

am i missing something here??

a) it's outside City Hall, Sheffield
b) it's the girl in town who somehow manages to get into town everyday, only to find out she has forgotten to bring enough cash for the bus fare home. She just doesn't learn ;)
More worryingly, I'm told she can get quite aggressive if told to "naff off", although that's not the exact phrase I heard was used.

Wonder how she's doing with the bus strike and all?

She asked me three times in the space of ten minutes for 44p??? while I was waiting for the 95 on west street - "which part of I've only got my bus fare do you not understand" was the last comment.

Fool.

Anyone remember the red haired bearded guy who always knocked about near the Octagon - same bit of paper & the same story for years - he ended up on the front of The Star in the end, just before he tried to rob one of my mates shops on Devonshire Street.

Sorry thing is some of the genuine homeless people who don't bother anyone end up dead and in the papers I can count 5 or 6 I know by face that have died. Remember the young kid who was always looked like he was crying - last time I saw him was in the showroom toilets hiding from someone two weeks later he'd died n'all. Rough.

I wonder whether she's on the internet... could do an interview.

Anyone fancy asking her... I would ask myself but er... yeah.

Edit: Don't post your blonde woman (for lack of a real name) stories here... instead add them to that thread RPG linked to above.

I would volunteer, but I haven't got the 80p for the bus fare.

do you mean the very, very small, greasy- dark, haired kid who used to beg around Fargate?

I remember him, as a young lad, who did always look as if he was crying.

I am shocked to hear that he has died. not surprised, but shocked, nonetheless. when was this? I had not seen him for ages, but i assumed that the police had simply been successful in stopping him from begging...

That is very sad, I remember him well too - he always used to wander up and down West St and Division St walking into pubs asking people for change. Always struck me it was very odd that someone that young would be begging. The last time I saw him he was being accompanied by two older, very aggressive lads who stood over him while he asked people for money.

Horrible circumstances that people get themselves into :(

The younger lad died a while back I think, it was in the star along with a few others one who sold the big issue outside virgin on Fargate.

He was hiding from the older blokes the night we found him in the showroom tiolet - poor kid, he must have a bloody horrible life.

She's asked me before, I just be as polite as I can and say I don't have any money on me.

It's people like this that make shopping in the city centre unpleasant.

I showed this to my friend and he remembered her once sitting next to him on a bench & having a chat for ages :shakes:
