My daughter has just moved to Sheffield to study Nursing at Hallamshire Uni for the next 3 years hopefully. After a bit of hassle (as she was late getting her place) she was able to find accomodation at Phoenix Court which is near Debenhams in the centre of the city near the main fire station.

Anyway the reason why I have come on here is that she owns a car (altho she has not yet passed her test - even so we are taking her car to Sheffield for her next weekend as it is more use to her there than on our path not moving for 3 months till she comes home at Xmas) but Phoenix Court does not have any parking facilities so does anyone have any bright ideas or offers that could help her out?

Me and my wife live in North Wales not Sheffield (altho I did work in Sheffield for 3 years in the 80s - in Wincobank and do know the city a bit - its nice that through my daughter I am developing links with a city I really liked again) and so am trying to do this for her from afar. What would be good would be if someone offered a safe parking spot or a garage space for not too much money fairly near where she is living - remember she is a student and so does not have much money!!

All offers considered altho we probably will hang on to consider all our options so will not be able to give a final yes or no on any offer for a few days as I have also told her to ask around and see if she or anyone she comes across at the uni or otherwise can come up with anything.

Vison - thanks mate - I have replied to you - if anyone else wants to contact me feel free - it could be that we take up Vision's offer but at present we are hanging on to see if anything else comes up bearing in mind the 2 key questions of cost and nearness to where Clare (my daughter) is living.

That wont last long as the new student flats don't have enough spaces the whole area will be permits and limited stay only soon.
