And after some initial scepticism about how they could make a novel like that work for radio I actually thought it was really well done. I only caught it by chance because I was driving. But it must have been good because when I got home I stayed in the car on my drive so that I wouldn't miss the end. LordChaverly 24-09-2006, 18:34 Did anyone listen, last night? The most exquisite of productions by Radio 4. Opinions? No Cloudy, I missed it, but I think Lawrence is a very great writer, a true master of English prose. His poetry is wonderful too. I am pleased his work is being revived, as I have a feeling he has been somewhat neglected of late. His works lend themselves well to dramatic enactment. As I missed it, perhaps we could restage it, with you taking on the role of Lady Chatterly and I performing as Mellors (and what a performance it would be!). ;) Tartempion 24-09-2006, 18:40 ...or you could always rework it as "Lord Chaverly's Lover"...? Just a thought.:) LordChaverly 24-09-2006, 18:42 ...or you could always rework it as "Lord Chaverly's Lover"...? LordChaverly 24-09-2006, 19:37 Are you asking? Why indeed Cloudy. I like Tartempion's idea though of re-working of the script, with me playing the role of LordChaverly and you the role of my comely maidservant. But you would not be spending much time 'below stairs'. cloudybay 24-09-2006, 19:46 I would submit to your every need................how doe's that sound for starters? LordChaverly 24-09-2006, 20:05 I would submit to your every need................how doe's that sound for starters? It sounds wonderful Cloudy. I am ready, willing and able to give the performance of a lifetime. If we reverted to the original script, we would also need some weak, gullible, and insipid character to play the role of Lady C's cuckolded husband. I suggest we choose one of the forum's politically correct posters, as the role would probably suit them to a tee. ;) cloudybay 24-09-2006, 20:15 I wonder who? cloudybay 24-09-2006, 20:20 If we reverted to the original script, we would also need some weak, gullible, and insipid character to play the role of Lady C's cuckolded husband.
