I knew about it, but not much, but the main thing i learned last week was how intelligent people with this affliction are. Its almost as if its a by product of their intelligence. I see the same thing with tourettes syndrome.

Brilliant, there should be lots more people being honest about it. It's often what makes people very creative in the first place.

Interesting that most of the people steven fry spoke to would if they had the choice...... not change!.

As you note jabbs people who have it seem to be intelligent...and generally switched on.

Hey, I watched it.
I have Bi-Polar disorder, and in my opinion it is NOT something that is easy to be that open about. I don't know if I'd be able to go on TV and tell everyone how I feel. To be honest, it makes me feel stupid, a lot of the time.
Anyway.
Yeah the programme was very good. I like Stephen Fry.

Damn, I missed the 2nd part of this too.

I hope it's repeated - excellent tv.

I watched both and I'm out of the bi polar closet for good because of it. It cleared so much up for me and my boyfriend and made me feel a lot less alone.

Watching the part about Steven Fry's teenage years was like looking in on my own, I was crying at parts because it was like having a curtain of guilt lifted.

I wouldn't give up my Illness either, even on the blackest days.

Unbelievably good tv. The whole programme seemed to be all about me and my sister. Oh, and my mum. Blimey!
