Anyone remember the little shop at the side of attercliffe baths ,we used to go swimming after school and then go round to this shop were you could get a hot vimto and a breadcake with dripping, it was only a small shop and it always seemed dark inside.

Do you mean the Herbalist shop on the road behind the swimming baths, the sold sandwiches

Yes Cyber I think that must be it , he used to sell dripping sandwhiches I think he made them as you ordered them and hot vimto drinks you could buy sweets as well , it was only a small shop but I think there used to be two stools you could sit on while having your drinks .

we used to go for a dripping cake and oxo also blue ribbons every time we went swimming we would all walk up from newhall school i also had to go to the slipper baths because we didnt have a bath apart from the tin one up to about 1970
