Where can you go in Sheffield on a friday night after the pubs, and what kind of night does it offer? I am looking for a Midway kinda thing.

My Brother (A heavy metal crazed guy) is coming down and wants to go out and see the city. He is from a rural town and hasn't really been out in a city like this before.

I am a Breakbeat/Dance/Jazz and Funk kinda guy and wouldn't really like a night full of ahem... 'noise'.


So... Can anyone suggest a night?

I can see your dilema - you could keep your brother happy and go to Corporation for some nu metal mayhem or you could go for some breaks action at Urban Gorilla to keep you happy - but what to do to keep both of you reasonably happy once the pubs have shut?

Maybe somewhere with a late bar - but they do all tend to be quite (ahem..) bar like - so your brother might not like it.

The Showroom Cinema Bar isnt too bad & think they have Pulp Funktion on a fri night till 2am - so that might be good call.

The Casbah is good for a lairy **** up session - but it does get very raucous - so maybe you'd not be too keen.

Theres a real gap in the market for normal pubs with late hours - roll on the change in licensing!

What about just going for a curry?

Urban Gorilla is what your looking for......it two for the price of 1 this summer aswell.......and open till 5ish.

I think Lickable's problem was not where to finds a breaks night, but where to find somewhere that he (who likes breaks) and his brother (who is into metal) could go to together...
