About 6months ago my sister got a leaflet through her doo (in hillsborough) about a delievery service that delivers alcohol to your door!

Why? You can get fags 24 hours from a petrol station.

I just think there is a real problem in this country with how alcohol is abused.

There are many who can't limit their drink and go out with the sole aim to get off their faces:loopy:

It's something that is primarily perculiar to this country.

We had a leaflet in Crookes too... I don't think it's illegal, and you had to produce ID on delivery.

Do the supermarket home delivery vans deliver alcohol? If so it can't be illegal.

I seem to recall that Davenport's brewery ran a "beer at home" service a few years back.

There are various wine offers in the papers offering cases of wine. What is the difference?

Supermarkets definitely deliver alcohol. A few years back Balti King at Broomhill would deliver cans of lager and alcopops with your curry at 3.00am!

I would have thought that would have been illegal because of the licensing hours at the time. Don't know if that's the case now.

for all of those out there in need, the SPAR's on abbey lane and abbeydale road are each open 24/7 and each sell alcohol 24/7, probably the cheapest places at night in sheffield unless you know someone selling homebrew or crates of vodka:P

I regularly have alchohol and cigarettes delivered with my asda shopping but there has to be someone over 18 available to accept delivery

True, but why should the majority of alcohol users who don't abuse it suffer because of the actions of a few?

I think a booze delivery service is a great idea.
