Yes when they are puppies. But like anything it's what they grow into.

I love all breeds of dog including bulldogs. i just think its such a shame the breed standard calls for the shortened muzzle that can result in breathing problems and puts them at high risk should they need an aneasthetic. Hate tail-docking full stop

I love them, they're lovely little dogs if they're brought up right but I wouldn't own one and to be honest am unsure of the ethics of breeding them.

This isn't coming from me - but someone who owns a bulldog said after this one he wouldn't have another and that they shouldn't be bred because this one has such bad health problems associated with the breed he's almost always suffering. He can't go out in the middle of the day as it's too hot, if it's getting warm he's not allowed to play because it's too much for him, he gets sores between his toes and this is a dog who they keep as slim as possible! He's very slight for a BB and I've seen dogs much bigger than him who have much more trouble walking.

However - I believe that the breed club are now working on breeding healthier dogs, breeding longer muzzles back in and trying to eradicate the health problems that come with the breed - just as all breed clubs do.

If this is the case, then I agree with them, however, if they are still breeding for the unnecessary cosmetic reasons, then I think that's totally wrong.

The dogs are lovely though - it's not their fault!
