I've always got on well with animals and now I'm looking for a way to earn more money whilst kids are at school. I know of others to who have pets and they have wondered if there is a demand for dog walkers and pet sitters and if so how much should they charge or where is the best place to advertise.

Pet Walkiz on the forum do it as they are a company. But they are also looking for people to work for them. I don't know whether this would help you or hinder you but you could always ask.

Hey - I would be really interested to hear people's experiences of cat sitters. I put my cat in a cattery for the 1st time in the summer and sobbed my heart out - I found it really difficult. My cat also didn't take to it too well either - not sure if that is due to the fact that she is a rescue cat? Anyway was thinking of using a cat sitter next time...

Bear in mind that you'll need insurance and to register as self employed if you are starting this up as a business, or contact pet-walkiz and ask if they are still looking for staff ;)
