don't know how you see it, but i think sheffield is finer than it's ever been. It's becoming more and more beautiful. It is a very interesting city. Cheer up!

Sheffield, is a dump if the spent as much money on, cleaning up the streets rehoming the genuine tramps listening to their city Sheffield would be a much friendlier cleaner place, you take places such as Australia, switzerland in fact just about any other country who has their head screwed on right are not in this mess!!!

This once grubby city is looking and feeling a lot better, at least since my first visit here in 1987.

I think Sheffield is looking better than it ever has in my lifetime, and i hear we have more asylum seekers than ever... so i don't see a problem. :thumbsup:

yes this city i must admit is looking alot better, but how much of that is down to the council with "good spending" most of the regeneration of the "slums" is from new developers, university's etc, etc,

The council just seems to waste money on new offices, winter gardens(that are a waste of time and money and space), the biggest white elephant-the supertram.

one of my friends recently had a baby, she was trying to get housing on the council and she was told directly if she wasn't black or disabled she had little hope(not being racist).

The problem in Sheffield is with the locals not asylum seekers. The asylum seekers by the fact that they are here means they have something about them. All their local tramps are at home lying around on their streets.
Don't pick on them because you think that they are the problem we were all imagrants at some point. Australia is totally made up of imigrants (except for a few indiginous people)and you seem to think that they are doing alright. We don't have enough of these people IMO
The problem is your tax is being spent on a senseless war that is causing massive displacement of locallised communities, rather than on better city development and essential services. It's a lose lose situation imo:loopy:
