Hi All,
I'm new in Sheffield and was hoping somebody knew of a good computer store (reasonable prices etc.). Specifically, I'm looking for a wireless router to free up my telewest broadband, as well as a printer/scanner.
Any ideas on which routers work well with telewest's system?
Thanks!
real computer shop on ecclesall road will sort you out with everything you need. phone number is 2687999

i'm on telewest wireless keying this now. I got a telewest wireless kit off ebay for a tenner! It's worked for the last year, so I'm happy.:hihi:
any cable/dsl router will work, sadly for quick and painless purchase, id revise and head down to pc world (:o)
i used to use a netgear wgt634u on TW but ive gone off netgear now.
any of these -> pcworld (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?page=ProductList&category_oid=-28361&fm=14&sm=1&tm=1&show_all=true)
should do do wish to hand money to pc world, make sure you hand them as little as possible, you can do this by placing your order online (selecting collect in store) and you get the added bonus of paying the website price. granted its probably more than ebuyer and the likes.
As Vinni suggests. PCW prices are high unless you spot an internet deal and then reserve it to pick up in which case you can get the occasional reasonable deal.
Just dont expect any (decent) advice from then. That said, I dont go into B@Q and expect then to tell me how to tile a wall or expect Halfords to give me tips on rebuilding an engine.
