Why do you ask - are you planning a cull:D
N.B I am student friendly, really:thumbsup:
But there again, I don't live in a street that is highly populated by students.....

Id like to give a big THANK YOU to the non-students who live above me playing there annoyingly loud music all night long. Also a big thank you to the middle aged parents next door with there baby that screams the house down every day and thanks to the non-students who burgled our house.

because students are just so bad! its all there fault. poke poke! easy targets! thats all it is!

why not have a post about all the smack heads that seem to wander around steeling things, or the racist drunks that live in certain pubs in town!

no, not easy enough.

If we're thanking our neighbours then can I thank the new
neighbours who have just moved in below me. Drilling and hammering at 11.30pm is really considerate and not annoying in the slightest.

Carrying this on for 3 nights running was really great for me!

I'd also like to thank the people next door who like to do their washing after 10pm. I mean who cares if your kitchen wall is my bedroom wall and I can tell you exactly when the spin cycle is coming. I don't mind being kept awake due to you inconsiderate bleeps!

Tower blocks, don't you just love them!

harriet

where did you end up getting a place?

i'm on the look out for a two bedroom flat in city centre if possible.

Was wondering your experiences with estate agents. Any tips?

Thanks

Ross

I am not anti student at all, in fact a bunch of late night reveling students saved my little cat after she got knocked down and brought her home to me. I will be eternally gratefull to them because she would have died if they wernt there to bring her home. But I do wish that when throwing up everywhere in the first few months of the student year they would be a little more considerate and aim for the gutter, not the middle of the path

rossyl - we ended up going through the non-student route and found a 1 bed flat off crookesmoor road with crapper and haigh. rent is £445 p.c.m which is more than we originally wanted to pay, but the flat is very nice and in a great location :)

Freshers week is usually the week that includes my birthday, which is 24th Sept. So i guess they will be back around the 20th this yr.

Harriet, I'd move if I were you. Also seeing as you seem to be in day and night listening to noise pollution, maybe you should go out for a bit of peace and quiet :)

And quick note; sometimes you cannot stop babies crying, so don't blame the parents, as they have the little mite hollering right in their ear, without the luxury of a party wall to dull the noise. Just wait until you get one.
