Oh so very sad isn't it
KEVIN BLACKWELL
The board of Leeds United have today terminated the contract of manager Kevin Blackwell.
The club would like to place on record its thanks to Kevin for the work he has put in over the past three-and-a-half years, the past two-and-a-half of which were as manager.

Wonder if Neil Warnock fancies having a crack at managing a big club. ;)

Pity really, a manager as smug and rotten as Blackwell was made for a club as smug and rotten as Leeds.
Still, at least if they do get Robson (Bryan) an extended period of Championship football - at best - looms. That would be great.
Incidentally, there were just over 7,000 fans at Elland Road last night... pathetic for a club which deludes itself as being a rival to Manchester United.

How can you sack someone who only last year took the club to the play offs?? Its crazy, you dont become a bad manager overnight.
Some have very short memories dont they.

Strange that - the fans of Sheffield United would also like to thank Kevin for the work he has done at Leeds United for the last three and a half years.
Thank you Agent Blackwell, mission accomplished!!!

Hoddle and Ranieri both got on well with Bates so one of thoses wouldn't surprise me. Mike Newell is another outside bet.

Newell's really messed his options up for the future by blowing the whistle....chairmen have long memories...
Glennis for Ken - a match made in heaven , they deserve each other

Bates and the L**ds crowd never liked him anyway though. Their poor start to the season was all the excuse they needed to get rid.

To be fair to leeds, this was only a league cup game, and only about 4/5 teams got over what they managed to bring through the turnstiles

He has been in charge now for over 2 years roy, and in that time has been one of the highest spenders in the league, and only has a play off final to show for it.
Leeds have a good squad, possibly one of the best 6 in that league, but they just dont live up to there billing, and i believe you have to look no further than the manager for the reason for that.
Also, you're right. you dont become a bad manager over night, he has ALWAYS been a bad manager
Edit: what i dont understand is, why give him a 3 year contract in the summer? just doesn't make sense
Leeds sack Blackwell......
LIKE I CARE!
