Has any body noticed how long the streetworks guys take to do a job. They became a permament fixture on Arundle Gate at one bit and now low and behold they are back again. They have nearly finished a little road calming job at Worrall,a private contractor would have done the work in weeks, these lads have been at it since March and the cones are still there.

Yeah - they did the same section of Abbeydale Road twice in the space of about 3 weeks a couple/3 years back; laid tarmac, ripped it all up again, re-laid it.

I wouldn't have minded but they started at 8 in the morning and a great deal of their work seemed to involve shouting at one another.

MMMMMMM!
I am a tutor, but fancied a change! had an interview this morning as a recruitment consultant! the agency who has the contract ( via agency workers) through sheffield council employers are less than capable! in my opinion - so there you go! and I was only there for an hour!

Basil, how many hours of your life are spent trawling through the SF archives, and do you keep count of the people who fall for your latest thread resurrection? :hihi:

Womeery, how many hours of your life are spent trawling through my posts to see how many people I've caught in the old keepnet?

Seriously, not half as much time as you think. Once you learn how to narrow down the options in the 'search' facility, it takes very little time at all.....
