How about Cafe Buon Cibo in Broomhill - it's BYO wine as well.

i work at the french cafe restaurant in meadowhall. we are a lovely little place and have been dubbed "romantic"

Go to Wassabisabi on London Road for ace japanese - but make sure you book in to the tepanyaki room for a very personal service

Alternatively try Boho at the bottom of vicar lane - Campo lane thats very nice and also romantic if thats what you want.
